I skipped the first 15 minutes and the VA talk segment at the end just in case to avoid spoilers. This was VERY cool to watch and I'm glad I did. Skipping the trivia section was probably a good move, most of it was just little things about the characters but there were two moments (one in particular) that just made me go "WHAT" and left me shook before the official livestream even started lol

Was a great livestream and nice to see you reacting to the whole thing :D Anyways, in my personal opinion it would be cool to see one video for the trailer and then for the animations maybe one video for both animated videos. just my 2 cents. maybe you could also add some of the lyric analysis into the trailer video. So you basically have one lore focused video and one animation focused video. I'll be getting Jean i think. My account is standard banner only and i already have all of them, but jean is the one i use the most and also the only one that's still at c0. maybe also not the smartest choice but i just like her and am so unlucky with her. Mona might not be the most meta choice but for the longest time she was my favorite character to play. Some do not like her movement style but i love it, it's a hit or miss thing. But she is definitely fun, has some scenarios where she is really helpful or deals with annoying things and as you said, she pairs well with ganyu and freeze teams in general. Also the live performance, as always, peak. Especially love the battle theme.

Honestly, I think I'm leaning towards what you're suggesting here. Been thinking about it! We shall see. :) OH MAN Jean is a good choice. I love how unique she is, but yeah as far as who would prove useful for me, I think Mona is the way to go. I'm a fan.

@Klara_00771 maybe I'll feel different when playing through the update, but yeah. Nothing has me cheesing the way Sumeru did. To be fair, I'm probably biased because I started playing right after Inazuma came out (literally RIGHT after), so Sumeru was my first nation that came out after I was caught up. I was caught up before then too, but it's different because it was new to EVERYONE and not just to me.

I don’t like the way they made it so you can skip the whole story that comes after Liyue and go straight to Natlan. I mean yeah it’s optional but I still think new players may do it just to get to some of the new content when the game is bound to talk about stuff from the three nations that was skipped etc. I’m probably overthinking it but I do think it’s a weird feature still especially since I think the story is one of the most major things in the game

It's weird, but with now the limited time archon quest and story quest rewards I think it's fine that it's an option? I'm also really unsure how spoilery it's going to be.. Hopefully it works somewhat seamlessly? Kind of like how they changed voicelines for Charlotte for when if you met her in the limited event or not when starting fontaine, though doing that for the whole archon quest seems tough and not worthwhile so the archon quest should hopefully be more isolated to natlan.

@@dzintars8034 that’s different tho, you can’t just do the same thing as what they did with Charlotte because that was just a minor thing. Big plot stuff happened in the other regions there’s no way they can do that. And as for it not being to spoilery, it’s a main quest dealing with the fatui, abyss and coming off the Fontaine quest with the situation with the hydro archon so im pretty sure a lot of stuff will be mentioned especially since it’s apart of the main storyline. Natlan can’t just be “isolated” to its own story

@@evilspend2690 I don't really think so, we barely get any mention of prior events aside from some mentions from npcs or paimon, If I remember correctly the only thing mentioning other nations in Fontaine's archon quest was Childe showing up or sometimes people saying we're famous or something. Natlan is an isolated nation arguably even more so than Inazuma considering we knew barely anything about it for more than 3 years, so I don't really see people mentioning our previous deeds and it being a big spoiler aside from maybe people recognizing our name because we're famous or something. Anyway's I still never said it's a good idea to go do Natlan immediately after Liyue due to the continuity of the main story, but I don't really see how it'll spoil anything big from Inazuma, Sumeru or Fontaine that the new player is going to even know or care about anyways if they're already willing to go straight to natlan in the first place. So perhaps if they just cut or change some of the spoilery dialogue I can see it not being a huge gamebreaking deal.

I'm definitely hyped for the Natlan story, it looks insane. I don't love the character designs tbh, but that's good for me 'cause it means I can save more primos. I'd love to see analyses/breakdowns of all the things you mentioned. One thing that stands out to me in particular is this line in Anthem of the Savannah: "In the end you burn to cinders *for* a dream, In the end you rekindle in ashes *because of* a dream." The difference seems significant to me, but I couldn't really say what it might mean. For the standard banner character selector, I'm getting the only standard 5 star I'm missing, which is Dehya.

Yeah, a fantastic program indeed. Just awesome vibes, Natlan looks stunning, the new characters look fantastic and music is just so moving.. I was a bit afraid going in, not knowing what to expect, but they blew my expectations off, can't wait to experience it for real so soon. It easily has the potential to become my favorite region just from the way it looks and sounds.. The anniversary stuff is great, my pick was always going to be a Dehya constellation even if they gave the choice of limited characters as well, I'll have her at c6 in 5 years at this rate.... Mona and Jean are both great choices, although I'm more of a Jean simp I say just go with your gut or something and hope you don't get them the next time you lose the 50/50 xD also the weapon banner is finally a viable option which is incredible, arguably bigger news than the free 5 star, wish it was implemented a lot sooner, but so many fantastic changes it's hard to be upset and I hope they continue this trend further in the next updates, they've been killing it with QoL changes since the start of Fontaine. The limited time archon quest/character story quest rewards look great too, finally will encourage me to finish all the story in the same update instead of lazily holding back for no reason, sad that you'll probably still miss out on it, the quick start feature seems a bit off since you're just asking to be spoiled/your story experience ruined in my opinion so I think it's for people who don't care as much about it and just want the gameplay stuff.. But yeah I want to pull for all the new characters as well, they all look so freakin fun. Kachina the 4 star especially I like how fun she looks with jumping in and out of her twirly whirly and how quick her playstyle seems to be. Mualani and Kinich just look phenomenal they're really stepped up their level in more expressive/fluid animations and with the movement, it's hard to believe they're part of genshin y'know.. But yeah can't wait for what you make next, maybe I'd suggest making the 5.0 trailer/story analysis separately and then combining the animation videos analysis in one? Maybe including the mualani teaser somewhere or something, and maybe the gamescom trailer if you feel like it since it was also pretty hype and had cool visuals to be honest, I'm not sure, but I'll watch anything to keep my mind off just thinking of the time left for natlan haha... Love hearing your thoughts on this stuff.

Yo so something a lad I know from Kenya said about the lyrics is that theyre somewhat reminiscent of their national anthem. Which seems pretty cool that chose swahili as the language for that song. Lyric analysis could be fun,

I'll be going for C1 Dehya, I just got her on Emilie's banner and heard the C1 is a huge upgrade for her. I loved this special program, seeing the "flauta de pã" on the symphony was truly magical, plus, the lyrics in Swahili made me wanna go fight on the front lines lol. I would like to hear your takes on both songs and your professional opinion on the animations.

I'd personally love to hear your thoughts on the music/lyrics. For one, it's our first region major theme with lyrics. And I'd love to see you theorize on that when you have a lot less context than long- term players. Sometimes, having that fresh perspective is really insightful in noticing other things

I will be grabbing Tighnari as he's the only one on the standard banner that I don't have and I'm more of a character collector than a constellation collector (with the exception of Neuvillette, Furina, and Nahida.) This was definitely the update with the most QoL improvements since I've started playing. They have been increasing the speed in which they do these lately, so that has been nice to see.

Very excited for next week and ready to get my Mualani C1R1. Hopefully some Kachina constellations to make use of her as well. Will finally get Jean after 4 years of getting almost every character in the game but still not having her. For gods sake, i have a C6 Diluc who keeps haunting me since launch. after almost 4 years, I'm finally gonna get Mona! Also if you want you can do an analysis video for the things you mentioned. You could do it separately or together. Honestly I never really cared for rewards like primos and pulls really since even though I like collecting characters you don't really need everyone and by doing events, exploration and dailies you can get quite a bit. The thing I'm most excited about it the new artifact guarantee system, that is the one problem that has stopped me from enjoying the game as much as I have wanted! The weapon banner change is really good. Even though I don't know if I'll ever pull on it again it's good to know that if I decide to, it wont be as painful :D

I'll get Keqing. I've played since day 1 and she is the only standard character I still don't have. Also for the longest time, her alternative outfit was the only one I was tempted to buy... so... maybe I shouldn't. :) Please do the animation breakdowns. I love hearing people talk about things they are passionate about and maybe learn something new as well. For the lyrics, you could combine that with the trailer analysis/speculation, since both give us a feeling for the themes the story will probably pick up.

basically the character banner will now be a 55/45 the weapon banner will have a normal 50/50 and every anniversary of the game they will give a 5 star of your choice and on top of that more 5 stars will be added over time The elixir can be crafted using upgraded artifacts but you can only craft a certain amount in a certain period of time Regarding these changes, a contract is circulating on the internet that Dawei had made with Sony to be able to launch Genshin 4 years ago and this contract is ridiculous, Sony would be entitled to 45% of everything that Genshin earned and they could still decide and deny things in the game I don't know about you, but these things are coming together too well to be a lie, Genshin has been stuck on the PlayStation for these 4 years, the PlayStation is the only platform where the game has exclusive items that literally stop working if you're not playing on one, the case of Aloy's extremely forced collab it seems that Dawei has finally freed himself from this contract and now Genshin will be released for Xbox and the new game director will be Dawei

I watched this whole thing thinking it was going to be an hour long, maybe an hour fifteen. I was falling asleep by the time it ended around 1 in the morning my time after 2 and a quarter hours. Tbh idk how i feel about Natlan, i remember how incredibly hyped i was for Fontaine, how many characters i wanted since i first saw them, everything felt so exciting.. I dont feel it now somehow, probably because i had different expectations for this region and i still feel let down by what they did with it. I will obviously still play the story, but i dont think i will enjoy it as much as Fontaine. Though I may like it on equal with Sumeru, we will see.

I thought Natlan was gonna be like a land or volcanos and lava all over the place and that the ground would be burned and turned black and/or to ashes with dragons lighting up the sky with flames of terror. but tbh, those expectations were kinda over the top😅

Tbh I wanted Natlan to be more dragonic/volcanic since that's what we were told about it at first but then more NPCs started showing up that kept saying that Natlan is a good vacation spot and I was like WHAT?? So there were definitely signs that Natlan was not gonna be this destroyed and burned to the ground nation but dAmn. And I know what you mean, my hype for Fontaine was on crazy levels compared to Natlan but I am open-minded. Maybe the story will change my view on it.
