Your kids were the perfect age for this! I love to hear their excitement! We took our kids years ago… one of the black bears spent some time licking bugs off our front bumper! I want to go back at some point.

My wife has been there 3 or 4 times now and I am not happy about the snacks that the bears can be fed. These bears deserve real treats like Jelly Doughnuts, gummy bears or equivalent fruit snacks, chewy granola bars, iced oatmeal cookies, cherry pies , twix,milk duds and snickers treats. I am certain that they are not getting any fried chicken, pizza or beef jerky. Bears also like popcorn or better yet cracker jack. You can buy them grapes at the park. Grapes!? These are working bears! They deserve better pay than bear chow out of sack. Bears will eat anything that we eat, they love people food. A peanut butter and jelly sandwich is not going to kill a bear. These bears will perform for you. I've seen them catch grapes that are thrown to them.
