You can tell Camila just wasn't happy in the group anymore even before she planned to leave. According to Lauren their management treat them like fuckin slaves. Camila had the balls to leave. But on the other hand Camila doesn't have a solo project (like a solo album or couple of songs as solo artist), it's just this duo with Shawn, so it's a kinda weird, you would have expect it to be Sawn feat 5H and not only one of them (again, when there is no actual solo project for Camila yet, a duo with someone does not make it solo project).

For those who don't know.. Wanna know how the music industry works? 5H is signed to a label, has management and everything. Because of Shawn and Camilla's friendship, I'm sure he approached her. Her management and team, (plus the rest of 5H) HAS TO APPROVE IT BEFORE IT HAPPENS. Meaning that this song with Shawn and music video was in the works MONTHS AGO and the girls ALREADY KNEW ABOUT IT. Just because we're discovering it now doesn't mean the girls didn't know. People in music groups do this all the time! Adam Levine has done singles with other artists without his band Maroon 5. Hayley Williams has done singles with other artists besides Paramore. There's many more and those bands are still together! Just because Camilla gets more attention means nothing. They're not breaking up anytime soon so drop it.
