A near-lethal dose of nostalgia. I played this on the C64 and everything was exactly the same, except for some of the sound effects that I don't remember being there.

C64 never received a port of Lemmings 2. It did, however, receive a rather nice port of the original 😉

Awesome to see solutions to the puzzles I could never do as a kid. I also forgot how catchy the music is. The classic Lemmings section is fire when I realised they remixed 2 older tracks together.

I used to play the original Lemmings many times after it came out. But I guess none of my friends had this one, so I never saw it. Interesting new skills. And in the original version, the lemmings would have died falling from the heights that I saw in the first few levels here.

Used to play it on the SNES. The Medieval Tribe section is my childhood. That music, this environment.. I liked medieval stuff as a kid.

It's cool that they made it so each tribe has different tools at it's disposal, but the lack of a mini map, the lack of drop rate control, and the lack of an (obvious) way to tell how many Lemmings you need to pass a level makes it somewhat a little less awesome than the first game.

Legion Beast But some levels require you to sacrifice a lemming or to as Blockers or Exploders so you can’t save them all.

While there are some improvements in Lemmings 2, it feels like they added a lot of similar unnecessary abilities in this one. If you check the Classic tribe, everything looks polished in terms of gameplay, while other tribes look a bit chaotic. But it's still a very good game. My favourite of the series is "Oh no, more Lemmings".

I never played this back in the day, only the original Lemmings. I can't get past the fact the Lemmings now survive huge drops as well as explosions.

I think I had a demo floppy that came with a magazine, with only the Snow and Circus levels. I still enjoyed, but time passed and I never bought / copied the full game and I forgot about. Looks like it was a good game though

It's cool seeing your solutions! In "The Carpet Capers" 2:21:52 I couldn't get the carpet lemming under that low wall -- so I just skipped the entire right half of the level by using a hopper to bounce him off that yellow wall to the right of the wagon. Your solutions all seem so much more elegant than mine, like the ones the designers intended!

I was never a fan of this game. I played the original Lemmings with my dad when i was a kid but Tribes was a wildly different experience from the first level and I could never work it out.
