I do feel that the engine missile launchers are a little short. Most pictures have then stop at least around the back pilots head. Just a nitpick, though. Great set overall, but if I get it I’ll probably extend the engines.

I like this scale much better for the Gunship than the UCS scale. I generally like most of my sets to fit reasonably well within minifig scale, with a bit of wiggle-room.

This is an awesome build. I dislike the oversized UCS sets because they’re way too large to use with minifigures. I think this model is better than the official UCS version. Edit: Anyone who has built this, does it actually cost $300-$400 to build? It only has about 1500 parts and $300 is a lot for that few.

the gunship with the dome cannons is a different model than the one without. the dome cannons accually replaces the front doors.

I like the ome without the dome cannons. I preffer more of a backup assault dropship than a primary assault dropship. I had 2 of the same one with the dual doors and no cannons except on the wings. Custom made one to retrofit the dome cannons at the front doors with still maximum clone trooper space for reinforcements

you could definitely fit both the laser cannons and flood lights in without removing the barrels. you only have to remove the 2x2 round plate.

Exactly Jack! Mini-Figure scale is always a challenge because they are so wide compared to tall. Once we realize this, embrace it, we can work with it. I always imagine Mini-Figs to have less sensitivity to their "personal space" than we humans. Cool ship!

That gets the total cost of the set to 180 usd with the pieces...that's pretty much what lego would charge for a set like this, they would probably put it at 200 usd. So it's not overpriced, just right actually.

Overay at very least 180, "~$155 - $185 " it's 180 if you get the best prices. It's 200 if you don't and more in shipping, especially for those not in countries with large birckvault sellers. And with a Lego set you also get minifgures with this you don't. Those are an expenise to add in

@@NirateGoel this is far better quality than any lego set anyways, it's not overpriced even for the pieces. Look at the T.I.E instruction they've displayed, it's pricey, but it would be UCS priced if it was an official lego set. Most of lego sets are obviously overpriced anyway (just look at the ninjago or small star wars sets retailed over 70 dollars with 500 pieces and 2 minifigs...), so when I buy instructions from brickvault I find it fair for an UCS classed set.

Ok, you saved me. I am not joking. About three years ago my father borrowed about $1500 off me when I was more financially stable and within the month he is going to be able to pay me back. However, I am not financially stable at the moment but my family has known I have been wanting a LAAT set for over 17 years, the cheapest one brand new was $450.00 and to spend that much of that money on a lego set was heartbreaking knowing that much money could go to something better that could help my family. Then I saw this video and I literally cried. Thank you so much. Not only have you helped me live an almost 2-decade long dream but I now know my family will be sleeping easier because of it. I still remember my favourite themes that arent alive (atleast not in the stores). Pirates, knights and the space theme. I still remember that the space theme was the greatest one mostly because you were able to get multiple space ships in one set, and the best part was that how you were able to conect the ships to make extra large ship.
