This is a parade of red flags. It wouldn’t surprise me if he was or did hook up with the disrespectful friend. He’s enabling her to disrespect his bride. He doesn’t sound like he would like it if someone was “teasing” him or his side chick the same way. The fact that she’s more important than the bride’s comfort says everything. Again either they slept together, did in the past or the door is open. I bet she’s helped sabotage past relationships too.

The sharing the wedding dress picture on facebook one is even worse because there's a superstition that if a groom sees the bride in her dress before the wedding, it will bring bad luck to the marriage. So her posting it there despite also just being plain rude when the bride didnt want her to post it, is also kind of cursing her marriage. 😢

For some people its like if you would be religious and got married in church with someone saing "f*ck jesus" it doesnt effect your marrige but it still does effect your weding day and your believes.

Take my advice as someone over 40 and seen many weddings. The wedding is where you may see many red flags. If your partner will never stand up for you to ANYONE it's just going down hill after the wedding. Making the wedding about one person not both the relationship will be one sided and unhappy. If the In-laws cannot respect the future partner a discussion about borders needs to be had before I dos is said and the partner should be laying down boundaries with their family not the one marrying in. A good partner and a lasting relationship both will be united in their plans going forward and they will not let their partner be disrespected. Even if it means removing family from the wedding instead of letting their antics continue. If the husband/wife feels like they must humiliate their partner at the wedding without permission you will never have their respect in marriage. Also if anyone is stone cold drunk before I dos or three sheets before the wedding is half over that is not good. Think the weddings bad, wait till kids come along if they do.

I had my mother-in-law wear a white mini dress and 6" heels at my wedding (though it was outside on grass so she got stuck a few times 🤭), even though I asked her to wear dark blue to match the colors. It's a "catholic tradition" but we were having a nonreligious wedding. Safe to say I expected the BS from her so I wasn't even surprised, and decided to focus my attention on my husbands stepmother instead because at least she got the memo to wear blue.
