I’ve never seen someone raise their hand in a restaurant. Maybe do a little wave towards the waiter, but never a full on hand raise. Usually you just try to make eye contact with the waiter if you need something, or if they’re close enough you can say “excuse me”.

Most Americans for the most part mind their business and are in their own private space ye know? So thats why staring is so disturbing like "why are you staring at me? Do you have a problem?" Or its just annoying. I can't speak for every American there's many cultures here and different backgrounds but this is just some thing of noticed. Basic manner stuff like waiting in line you ask the person behind you if they were in line first so you don't cut. Sometimes holding doors for others (I do this but not everyone) We exaggerate stuff and express alot Thank you so much! I'm sorry! Omg!!! Thats awesome If your close with friends I sometimes curse to express how excited I am like Damn the fcken awesome! But not with strangers cause I don't know how they'd react.
@Jekyll084 жыл бұрын
Yes! haha. I think what you said about the staring is true, at least for me haha. Anytime someone seems to be staring at me even if I’m pretty sure they’re not I get angry. I have the same thought going through my head; “What the hell are you looking at?”
@DarkFaeCosplay3 жыл бұрын
One tip because I did this often as a child and sometimes I still do. If someone stares at you then they daydreaming or just out of it. Just walk away and let them snap out of it themselves. I have adhd and I know others with adhd had this problem with staring out of space or daydreaming and people misunderstood a daydream from staring. I don’t like it when people get uncomfortable when that happens.

If it’s split equally payment wise then the last piece is really anyone’s call; however, if someone bought something and shared it, then it’s common courtesy to ask if they want the last piece.
