This game is like a dream come true for me. Ever since my earliest years I've loved Paper Mario, and seeing him interact with the normal world Mario and Luigi makes me beyond happy. I wish they could spend more time together because their interactions in this game are just precious!

Unless after Brothership the next one will have a very deep lore and an ememy that's so powerful, they need all the help they can get and so they re-open the book. But the thing is no enemy's ever gonna do that because the bros will just deflect everything with their hammers 😂😂 But I do agree that it was very cool to see the interaction between the two, especially since the 3DS was the first console to have both a Paper Mario and a Mario & Luigi in it before this one.

My Headcanon: Paper Mario and Mario are the same and yet not the same. Normal Mario does go on the all paper Mario adventures but as Normal world form. The Paper Mario Book containing the Paper World in peach’s castle, is a book that someone used the Fold of Life on to create another universe just like the Normal Mario universe but it’s all made out of Paper. Paper Mario has the same history as Normal Mario but everything is Paper.

This is definetly intended to be the case. Paper peach mentions go karting, and Bowser mentions karting in Color Splash as well, implying that the paper characters also go through the events of the non-paper spinoffs too

hey so, I quit playing because of the section in Gloomy woods, when you control luigi and there's a lot of boo's in 7:42:10 I just can't pass them, the Luigi I have is too slow to get in there and finally pass the door. Not asking for help, just to let you know if it's some kind of bug or anti-piracy thing (or just simply skill issue)

Plot wise, aside from the absence of the characters from the previous games in the series (except for Starlow), the main problem is that the idea of building papercrafts to fight Bowser and the army draws it out and makes it feel redundant. You could easily remove the papercraft shit, have the game focus more on getting the book back and it would flow more easily. Gameplay wise, the battle system is fantastic and it makes usage of all three characters. The only thing that would make it better would be if there were no rings under the characters whilst dodging the enemies because they are incredibly restrictive. Also a lot of the battle cards break the game so weeding them down would've been better.

This game is the first Mario and Luigi game I have ever played and it was a blast. Seeing Mario and Luigi Join forces with Paper Mario and other character too from his game is a dream come true. From solving puzzles to performing creative bros attacks, this game is truly awesome. I beat this game about 2 or 3 times and really enjoyed it. Im playing Superstar Saga on my switch and later Super Mario RPG for preparations for the brand new mario and luigi game coming this november. The only thing I missed about this game is that Nintendo removed the level up mechanic that allows you to add extra points to one of you stats.

This was played on Citra Emulator, an app on PCs that lets you play 3DS games. It has several settings to make the resolution of games higher or add a filter to make certain textures look better, if your PC is strong enough. The guy above me has explained one of those settings, an xBRZ filter that smooths out textures. This smooths out pixels, making the "real world" characters look much better, as these are just sprites.

This game is such an incredible concept but they approached it in arguably the driest possible way they could’ve. Why in the hell did they virtually ignore the first three Paper Mario games? Sure, makes it more approachable to new players if all the characters are familiar, but having more diverse villains (and side characters) wouldn’t detract from the playing experience and in fact it might encourage new fans to explore the older games. Sad way for the series to go on hiatus. Good thing Brothership is on the way

That's so fair, honestly. It has a lot going for it. Its my personal least favorite, but thats under the pretense that ALL the M&L games are top notch to the degree where rankings of the games kinda depends on how I'm feeling that day. Paper Jam has a lot going for it, and is arguably the most refined version of the gameplay formula.
