I feel like there is a chance for him to make a return, he never really died, he only got absorbed by the butterfly. A scenario I can think of is Kirby getting absorbed and then Kirby has to find a way out. Then Galacta Knight would intervene, he wouldn't have any hope of escaping whatsoever.

I believe that a return can take place.. even the butterfly has absorbed it is still a non-canon event so nothing has happened to him anyway and it is not very unlikely that in the next game he will always return non-canonically or perhaps in combo with Morpho Knight

Morpho Knight didn't possess Galacta Knight. The knight form is the butterfly's true appearance. Morpho Knight EX is what happens when Morpho taps into Galacta Knight's power it absorbed. In terms of Galacta Knight being dead, though, I wouldn't be so sure. Kirby side-modes take place in their own canon most of the time, and there are Kirby characters who've survived worse. I'm sure Galacta Knight will reappear in a future title.

Galacta Knight is the stronger one. He deliberately allowed himself to be absorbed by the butterfly so he can finally be put out of his misery. On top of that, he has two insanely powerful forms with mastery over light and dark, one-shots final bosses with one measly slash and is the progenitor of the Heart Spears that sealed VOID away. Meanwhile, Morpho Knight can't even one-shot a boss without A.) said boss literally letting himself get absorbed, and B.) getting Uno Reversed by the being it tried to consume.

With every main Kirby game from Return To Dreamland onwards, after said game, the next encounter is against a different knight than Galacta Knight. However, you don’t fight Galacta Knight in Forgotten Land. You fight Morpho Knight again instead. Safe to say, they’ve killed off Galacta Knight in the main games.

Galacta Knight is how you build mystery and power of a character the right way since he's been slowly developing over the course of a decade and counting, getting new tidbits of backstory that makes him both terrifyingly powerful as one of the hardest bosses in the series but also a tragic soul. Morpho Knight is how you completely fuck up that same concept since its only hint was the butterfly that appears since Return to Dreamland, has *NO* foreshadowing or backstory whatsoever, just comes in and absorbs Galacta without any indication and fights like a complete joke. The devs knew they fucked up since they have since hinted that Galacta himself wanted to finally die to at least offset some of the damage, while also granting him two unfathomably dangerous forms, as well as the implication that he's either one of the Four Heroes or just the source of the Heart Spears. *SPOILERS:* Meanwhile, Morpho can't even absorb an unwilling host without getting Uno Reversed, which is how Chaos Elfilis came to be.

I like them both for different reasons, Morpho Knight feels way more otherworldly and vast, Galacta Knight is more grounded but he feels more intense. I think they make a good contrast, like Legendary Pokémon

Both Galacta Knight and Morpho Knight are very unique warriors with interesting history. The later was supposed to be a more improved form of Meta Knight, but plans were scrapped until they literally brought morpho knight back as its own character. These two knights brought it, although Galacta Knight I find more ridiculous to fight than Morpho Knight. It was cool to wield Morpho Knight's blade in Kirby and the Forgotten Land. I need to give that weapon a go once more.
