What is the work of the ministry of works they should sweep the roads or be sacked if the governor is serious
@lovejoseph18993 ай бұрын
Suggestions 1. Every road should have a leader in charge of the sweeping. The leader should be accountable for the cleanliness of the road. 2. The road markings should be bold and thick enough 3. The drainages should be covered to form a walkway also to present dumping of refuses in them. 4. Planting of coloured flowers by the side of the road. The government should give a contract to a plastic company to produce strong and quality bucket and plant flowers in them. They should be fixed to the ground by the sides of the roads using knots, just like in China. Again, already planted coconut tree flowers are obviously unhealthy to the sight, healthy palm tree flowers should be planted instead. 5. Washing of the roads. China has water trucks with brushes beneath that washes the road every now and then. Anambra should apply that. 6. CCTV cameras, to eliminate insecurity, and for evidence purposes.

Awka must be replaned. The government is using the old community road networks and it does not occur to them that Awka must be replanned afresh from the scratch. This is what they supposed to have done from the very first day that Awka was declared the capital of Anambra State. The road networks must be a squared interconnected road networks that will enable houses be numbered in a symmetrical manner and as such, enhance free movement of the modern day E-hailing transport services. Not one way in one way out community old patterned road networks. Replan Awka now!

If E-hailing transportation services like Uber, Bolt, Indrive, Rider amongst others are been introduced into Awka, is how can they fare? Are there squared interconnected road networks that will make them get to the location of their Riders within minutes or is it going to be going to Onitsha to make a U turn because they want to pick someone up at Zik road. That will be a pure madness. Rods must link up with each other as to enable box to box movements of people, goods and services. Flyovers must link up one part of the suburb to the other. It is the job of the ACTDA guy to see to it that Awka feels and looks like the capital cities of other parts of the world. It is also his job to liase with the commissioner for environment as it concerns matters relating to the environment in Awka. It is strictly the job of the commissioner for environment to ensure that all the environment around Anambra looks aesthetically pleasing. The person that we should be calling out is the ACTDA guy because he seemed not to know his job. He is saddle with the responsibilities of making the capital city look like even Abuja (to still come nearer home). He should develop the blueprints, sell same to the governor who appointed him, and if his blueprints are fantastic, the governor will only ask the commissioner for environment to ensure that everything contained in the blueprint is implemented.
