It reminds me of the movie The Candidate. Robert Redford plays a guy that does not want to be a Senator but a campaign manager convinces him to run with the promise that he will lose. Don´t you find it weird how the camera just happens to be pointing at some one in the audience that asks a question out loud? "What is he doing?" "Why is he doing x". Some times they aren´t even asking some one, just literally saying it out loud like in a freaking cartoon. And a lot of the reactions look so forced, the first people to stand up and dance did it right when the song started, the joke didn´t even start and they randomly stood up and danced for no reason, the rest of the audience only joined them after
