never in my life did i imagine that the most influential mlp fansong i ever listened to would have a ten year anniversary remix released on my 22nd birthday. this song is what first taught a baby mikey what anthropology was. i'm literally in my final year of my undergrad, studying to be an anthropologist, listening to the song that helped me discover my calling in life because it made me curious about the title. oh wow. happy anniversary

I was in college for anthropology when the song originally released. Sort of became my go to background studying song. Unfortunately the school went under before I could get the degree, I'm glad the song actually helped someone else achieve the same goal.

This was obvi the song that introduced me to your stuff, Marina, and it holds a special place in 11 year old Emma’s heart! I just want to say this song (and the MLP fandom in general, alongside your other fandom contributions!!) really cemented my love for animation, and I’m in the final year of my undergrad for 2D Animation! Kinda trippy to see this all come full circle. :) your music has really gotten me through some confusing and tough times in my life- Crushed Creations came out when I was trapped in an abusive household and situation I felt like I couldn’t get out of, and really helped me feel seen. My Own Enemy, Apathy, and Fallen to the System are my personal faves from that album and really got me through my teens :) queer girls was my little queer summer anthem before I left for college (and it came out right before I started dating my girlfriend!) and your singles are always such a joy. I’ve been a fan of pretty much anything you’ve released for a decade now, and I’m so excited to stick along for the ride. Thank you for making music that not only helps people smile, but helps them feel a little more seen. :) Congrats on ten years! Big TLT fan too (have been since the MLP days but zero one was literally just so amazing), so this was such a blast to see! Again, congrats! 🎉
