I just want to specify that this is NOT the end of me making music lmao!!! There will be lots of Awkward Marina music going forward, as I plan on writing and releasing music until I literally die

I found so many cool creators through the brony fandom, but since I've moved on, it's been nice to see the creators I admired move on, too.

The absolute best thing to come out of the brony fandom was the music. I found so many musicians that i still listen to to this day even though i havent watched the show in several years, and I havent been in the fandom for even longer. People like you, living tombstone, replacer, and more i still have on my phone, listening to your songs when im driving. I still got plenty of songs from the brony fandom that i listen to cause yall's music was just that good. Anthropology was one of my favorites, that and the rwby acapella cover is what really turned me on to this channel. I really like your style of music regardless of subject, so just keep doing what you do best :)

Pretty good farewell to fandom. Thank you for your pony songs! Anthropology was stuck in head literally for months : D. Really glad that I came into fandom 7 years ago. I think without it my life would be complitely different, but everyone need to move forward at some point.

I adore the lyrics in this song The first verses make it clear that the salty sea is referring to the people who are still bitter that you don’t continue to make MLP music. The not-so-subtle hints to your past music Entropy and Anthropology is genius, because it really does put into perspective how you’ve grown and changed and can’t relate to those things anymore. The rap segment with IBE continues to explain to the listener just how much of a burden it’s been for you to feel trapped by your past. It’s costed you burnout, loss of friends, faded dreams, and it seems like it even isolated you from reality at one point. I appreciate how direct the lyrics are at this point, because it really emphasizes how the fame and pressure wasn’t helping you mentally or emotionally. And I appreciate learning more about your struggles during that time, because I never really thought about the negatives of the fame until now. I also like how how the lyrics tell of shots being fired and the following sentence tells how the dream dropped in the distance as if it was hit by bullets, it’s a very clever use of literary devices! Same thing can be said about how “the season is done”…I feel like that can be interpreted many ways (one being how Gen 4 of MLP finished its last season, and so even the official show has moved on to new things like you have). And the chorus saying how you have left the horses go free….I think it’s the perfect way to visually and metaphorically describe how you’ve moved on to other things 😊

"Anthropology" will always live rent free in my head, as the first song of yours I found. but I'm glad you've found a way to move on from the horse days, and make a ton of beautiful and motivating pieces. "It's Easy" is honestly so inspirational to me, the kind of freeing, happy love I want to manifest for myself, in my life. anyway, go for it!! whatever sights you want to see next, go for them. If you make something cool along the way, I'll definitely be there

gosh, i remember when i first actually fell in love with your music. i think the album was called tragical? then i fell in love with crushed creations, and i was amazed to find out you made anthropology. and then i took a moment, and got upset when i realized that. huh. how did i not know you made anthropology? thats wild. you deserved alot more credit during that time :(

Entropy was my personal favorite. I haven't completely left the fandom as there's still some merit and some good people left in it. But with the number of neofascists in the fandom, I don't blame people for leaving.

Great as always. I'll always be thankful to the fandom for being the launching point for so many artists, and I'm glad to see that it did not become a shackle. The content you've made since then, from Firewater, to Queer Girls, to Apocalypse Lover has been so wonderful, I can't wait to see what comes next.

I think I'll never be able to fully leave the fandom. as it was part of my life for solid eight years. I will probably always have Fandom Songy on my playlist and I will always come back to watch some of my favourite videos.

I met you just a few months ago with Anthropology (i really don't have tik tok so i really didn't know that it became famous there lol), I think I´m a little late to the mlp fandom considering that the series ended about 2 years ago, but I really love to see the brony content even though it has been out for years, and is awesome to see how many creators started with mlp and continued to make amazing content. Your song reminds me, that although I'm on the "brony" thing right now, it's probably a phase, but it doesn't mean that it ends soon or that it's bad, but one that I consider very beautiful and I probably remember it as an adult; It may not be the main objective of it, but that is how I interpret it as the first time I have heard it. Thank you very much for your song, really :,)

God, I know this song is probably bittersweet to you but it’s just So Beautiful like the sound that this creates is such a well polished beautiful ballad about saying goodbye to things that hold you back and embracing an unknown future it’s gorgeous Marina

I was going through old playlists I had as a kid, and I found you again! I'd been listening to your songs since I was 8 years old, whether it was mlp, Steven universe or adventure time. So many songs were favourites. And even though most of those fandom are dead, and people move on, your music was always great! And I'm glad you're still making music today.

Music was always my favorite part of the fandom. While it's always a bit sad to see people leave, I see no reason to abandon musicians (or artists in general) just because they decide to move on and try something different.

Sounds like IbeConCept got hurt devastatingly hard or never touched the heart of gold or doesn't see the similarity to our core within. Or just an expression of his personal, young-and-confused, angsty perception of it. Who is a real creator, who a mere user? The solution is not to do more of what caused the problem in the first place.
