Capitalism requires capital. Most Americans don't own capital. Even being a millionaire doesn't mean you benefit from capitalism. If you don't own capital, you technically aren't apart of the system. Also most of the systems in place to help the average citizen are socialist based. K-12 is government funded, socialism. Emergency services are funded by the government, socialism. Medical RESEARCH is funded by the government (your taxes), you pay for the pill. Capitalism is only useful for people with capital. Otherwise socialism is the only thing keeping Americans afloat

lol, actually socialist policies are the exact thing dragging people down. The K-12 system is a disaster that has resulted in many schools having zero students proficient in basic math and reading. Which is why low income families are instead choosing to pay for charter schools rather than send their kids to the government funded schools. Large cities in the US have the biggest social programs and things have only gotten progressively worse in all of them. As for capitalism, the poorest people in the US live incredibly well in relative terms thanks to the overall increase in quality of life that capitalism provides. Every single technological and lifesyle luxury we enjoy is the result of capitalistic companies making products and rich people spending money on those products. CDs, TVs, Radios, Computers, Cell Phones. All of these things were prohibively expensive and impractical when the were created. But they were sold to rich people and that money enabled those companies to do more research and create cheaper products that everyone can afford. Now the poorest people have laptops, iphones, high speed internet, 65" flat screen tvs, and homes with air conditioning. You would have none of these things without capitalism. And by the way, every single "socialist" country you might try to reference as an example is actually a free market capitalist economy that props up their dumb social spending. Which, by the way, every single european country is currently regretting because of how much it costs when people decide to take advantage of it.

I suspect it might be related to Israel/Hamas situation. Since I think Awkward is Israeli? I've no solid opinion on the matter because I know both sides share half truths and blatant lies. Everything is propoganda mixed with a touch of semi-truths. And I also find it interesting that the LGBTQ and left movement held rallies in full support of Palestine when being homosexual is a jailable offense of up to 10 years there. Israel is one of only 6 country's in the middle east where being gay is legal. Everywhere else is 10 years prison, or the gallows. Literally. Middle Eastern gay people flee/migrate to Israel (and the 5 others) because they have more rights there afaik. But tbh I don't know jack shiz. I just use google and ask questions.
