We have been motorhoming for 20 years and have seen many problems with awnings,personally we would never have one,the wind can be to erratic, sorry for your problem.

@@johncleal1385 all sorted now and we actually got the replacement one out last weekend after having it fitted months ago :) we had one on last van. 3 years without problems then first time we use it on new van!

We still haven’t used the new one yet!!! Two weeks Friday hopefully weather permitting as back where we lost the first one

@@OnTheRoadAgain-NikkiandBilly yes . The island of Symi, we were there yesterday on a day trip….. you could see the search and rescue helicopters and police with the search dogs….: it’s a very mountainous island, basically rocks and crevices, no trees or shade. Not looking good for the poor fella 🙁

@@bradillingworth they’ve just emailed and have offered to collect van, take it for the work, return it a couple of days later and fill fuel up. Unfortunate the return date is when we are my so son’s graduation in Newcastle
