From what I've heard from HEMA people (historical European martial arts), the sword-and-shield technique _was_ all about holding the shield in place and stabbing around the outside. Makes sense; hard to swing your arm out in front of it, and the swords do have that pointy bit on the end for a reason. So congrats! You rediscovered how knights would fight, peeking around their shield and pokey-pokeying enemies. Such brave, much chivalredousity.

Nicely done on dethroning the Captain! Would've been neat to see that alternate ending of Flamewar getting everyone to join you on defeating him together, but I digress! I had fun watching this whole series through! I can understand if you feel like you're finished with the game, but if it's any incentive to come back for more, you can keep killing the Captain to ask Node and Numastar questions relating to the game's lore! Or you can also be a completionist with how the shop keeps track of your Turbofist combinations... btw, the orange robot from the Captain Fight is Upgrade Bot! He appeared in the first Clone Drone game Clone Drone in the Danger Zone, and it give you upgrades just like how it upgraded the Captain after every death. It further ties into how the Captain used to be a Human Bot from the first game, which I think is really cool for how it's a callback for long time Clone Drone fans like me!

17:51 shield break setting enemies on fire literally wins the game. It was completely trivial to kill the Captain and literally anyone if I so chose just by popping my shield, getting hit, and waiting 10 seconds to recharge. Also stacks with shield recharge on enemy kill. Then it's just gg and honestly took a little of the joy away from beating the captain the first time for me. Did it again later with a non-broken build

You'll get a lot more mileage out of their dialogue if you begin to lose runs. Heck, you can even unlock another method of defeating the Captain if you lose twice in Panic Mode.

I went into the fight with 4 lives, the necromancer fist, and the flame fist, i flamed him the first two times before he got a flame proof upgrade, then i used my necromancer fist to destract him then i cut him in half, and on his last clone he killed me with fire and then i used my dead body to bring it back from the dead to distract him just long enough for me to kill him, and so i walked out with three lives left, and a new belt, for Captain. (Of course i didn't actually get a belt but i oike to think of it like that.)

Wolf would have had to lose a second run in a row in order to get the "real" ending of the Looprunners teaming up. While it is much more narratively satisfying, you can only pull it off once and it won't happen again once you become Captain. I've really wanted to see him pull it off(especially with how last episode ended), but I've come to terms with it now.
