I think the crowd are dead because their brains can’t comprehend the greatness in front of them. Nothing else like Awolnation. Always a mixture of what the fuck am I listening to blended with solid melody’s and head bang worthy riffs.

Well, since Awolnation was started/founded by Aaron, all of Awolnation's songs are written by Aaron, Aaron is the lead singer and front-man of the band and finally Aaron appears to earn the Lion's share of the profits my guess would be that, in truth, Awolnation is really a one man project who has been wise enough to maintain control. A lot of bands end of fighting over artistic direction, which songs to record or perform, and of course money. Either Aaron was well aware of this at the beginning or he somehow was just lucky enough to avoid those problems. HE started Awolnation, he has led them since day one, and I suspect he alone decides who replaces band members. He probably listens to suggestions and advice, but I'd bet hard cash the final say is his. This is just my guess but your question was a good one and I couldn't help but look into it.

I listened to a podcast with him (can't remember which one) where he explained that he had another band that broke up, how devastated he was because of that and how Awolnation was his project and baby that he wanted to keep control over and keep independent from major record labels influencing artistic choices.
