Thanks Rob for sharing this treasure. Your productions of these classics are always the best quality prints straight from the archives. This one is probably better than the original film released in the theaters.

Few people who talk about Westerns ever mention RANDOLPH SCOTT in the same sentence with JOHN WAYNE & CLINT EASTWOOD. I do and Rob, I know that you do too. Thank you for showing this picture.

I loved Randolph Scott as a kid. I liked him more than John Wayne.

People who love westerns know about Randolph scott. He epitimizes what i think of a real western star actor. He and Clint are my favorites indeed!

Randy Scott never fails for action. Here w/Forrest Tucker and Edgar Buchanan a great Thursday Movie Nite film choice was made. Thanks Rob for the preview about Scott too. When he made westerns his choice to act, he certainly made a name for himself. He and Joel MCready two top western actors of renown. 🤠

One of the better westerns that Randolf ever starred in. To this day, still think John Wayne was overrated, Audie Murphy too.
@pdrphil81592 күн бұрын
I used to think John Wayne & Clint were the kings of westerns . But R. Scott is by far the western king of that era .. I have yet to see a bad western he made , although many were mediocre .. It certainly didnt damage his career & I think thats owed to his talent & ability.
@mikekemp9877Ай бұрын
great western rob. scott plays a very similar character to his lone mysterious avenger in a couple of his ranown cycle a few years later.the big difference is the pacing .boettchitcher cut the story down to essentials.therefore in ride lonesome or comanche station the event that sets randy off on his quest is never seen.we find out like the characters along the way.here its slightly different ,we know what happened but not why randolph is involved .scott was simply amazing and very in my opinion underrated.less showy than his western rivals like cooper or wayne. he was in many ways the ws hart of the sound era.he did leave a tremendous body of work without a bad picture in any of his western films .love his films.
@AWordonWesternsАй бұрын
Yep. There's no one quite like Scott. Thanks for your thoughtful comments, Mike.

Can you address the 3D movies that Randolph Scott did with arrows flying into the audience!
@AWordonWesternsАй бұрын
I don't know about any arrows flying at the audience, Di. The only film Scott made in 3-D was THE STRANGER WORE A GUN for Andre De Toth in 1953 and I don't recall a scene like that in the movie.
