I just did a version on this build and its really fun, haven't got the improvised geari. Used the pointman for CP and just got the named backpack. Its good fun just running around like a lunatic and punching people in the the face. Verify the fun factor for countdown :)

Does status effect lengthen the duration of shock , for the shocker punch and shock rounds?

I run this with a blue striker build and headshot DMG i stack striker with the lefty after i melee with the st Elmo's switch back to st Elmo's and melt NPCs and the hunter's

Unfortunately I think the big shows only use is as a support weapon. For example, if you are running a legendary or even a heroic mission with several players using st elmos, you can use a healer build(future, foundry, etc) and when your DPS teammates are utilizing their shock rounds you can focus fire on any enemies that are shocked. The other option would be to run a hybrid build with a decent amount of skill tiers(at least 3 IMO) and use shock traps to create a barrier between your team and the enemies, then use the big show when any enemies are hit by the shock trap. Other than those two use cases I don’t see any other viable uses for the weapon. Same with the Cabaret. Some people try to shock with the st elmos and then switch to the cabaret or big show while the enemy is shocked but the issue is that by the time you switch weapons the enemy is no longer shocked as the status has worn off too quickly. Perhaps a build with several status effect rolls would help but switching weapons is so clunky in this game that from what I’ve tested, it’s just not a viable use case for the thunder strike talent. Judging by the PTS that just came out it seems the devs are leaning even further into status effect weapons, which will make PvP even more unplayable as it is now. I honestly don’t think most of the devs even play their own game as the past several seasons have been pretty awful in terms of new exotics. Not to mention the disaster that is the cavalier gear set. We still don’t have a single rifle gear set but they release a useless Hazpro set instead😂

Bel stone with crits, assault rifle dmg with crits and armore core would be my recommendation.

@@truechojinthat doesn’t help with protection from elites. It doesn’t cost many resources to craft improvised gear. Took me 5-10 tries per piece to get the rolls I needed for mine so it’s well worth it IMO. My PFE build is a bit different though. It’s a catharsis mask, badger vest with intimidate, improvised holster, knees and gloves, Cheska BP with adrenaline rush. PFE mods on each piece and Scorpio as my primary weapon.

If you run it in the DZ swap out the protection from elites mods for crit damage and I wouldn’t recommend using creeping death on the BP.
