Failed my test with 682/1000. This cert really does require careful studying and understanding of AWS services (especially of VPCs which where I most struggled). @@saadkhan1994 I've been developing game server based on AWS for 2+ years. My experience is mostly on ec2, rds, elasticache (redis), dynamodb, and network facilities such as subnets, routing tables, gateways, etc. This lecture helps me to fill out my "blank areas" like IAM, Cloudwatch, ELB, and so on. So from my point of view if you are beginner to AWS (and other cloud services), CCP will help you a lot for SAA.

I just passed the exam and I did use this video as a resource. My suggestions are to add more in depth content for EMR, Snowball (compute), and Glue. Knowing the differences between Shield and WAF also important. AWS skill builder is also a good resource since they have many free courses that go into greater detail.

I passed the exam last week, this video alone is nowhere near enough. Didn't get a single question asking for facts and figures, they ask about best architectures for systems. Need to have good knowledge of S3, EFS and EBS and their advantages/disadvantages. VPCs, load balancers, security groups, route53 and cloud front came up a lot.

The CCP exam is a high level overview of all the services, billing, and support in AWS. You don't have to get into the fine details, but knowing the basics of the services and their capacities is necessary.

And I recommend taking practice questions to gain confidence for the exam. I took AWS practice test and Cloud Guru (KZbin series 1-14) practice test to prepare for my exam. I hope this helps. @@DV-py1vl If you don't have prior hands-on then it would be difficult to understand. I would recommend you to search for long length videos for all the topics one after the other. Ex: "Ec2 Master Class" go through those lengthy videos with patience you will have a clear understanding of what is what and then come back here for a high-level overview and use-cases of each of the aws offerings and you're good to go! Hope this helps.

I passed the AWS Solutions Architect Associate exam yesterday and just wanted to say thanks for uploading this course. It was a great source of revision and really help me prepare of the exam. One big tip I'll give for people planning to this this exam, the questions are nearly all scenario based. Do at least 1 practise exam to get used to how the questions are presented. Once you have read a few, you get a feel for them and they almost seen to follow the same pattern. The answer can often obvious, once you read the question and properly. It's all about understanding what they're asking for, pay attention to key words that will give you clues.

I passed my exam today! I studied 1-2 hours every day for 4/5 weeks then took a week off work to bulk prepare the week leading to the exam. I see comments asking if this course is still applicable, below is my two cents: Short Answer: Yes but not exclusively. Use in conjunction with other resources. Long Answer: I would say this does cover some core foundational knowledge, but due to its age it is missing some focus on other/new services. I would use this as your foundational knowledge to get a high level (and some low level) on the main services, but you will certainly not pass if you use this exclusively. Personally I used this in conjunction with Pluralsight (like Linkdin Learning, did the 12-hour Architect Associate Path), many test papers, AWS Learning resources and their documentation. Obviously everyone doesn't get the same test, but here's some details around mine No questions related to DynamoDB No questions on DR (Pilot Light, Warm Standby, etc) No questions on EC2 types like when to choose Compute Optimised, etc 2 Questions on AWS Organizations and SCPs (Service Control Policies) - this is not on this course and would have gotten me but I have extensive on-job experience with these. - Ensure you cover Organizations at the high level, such as OUs and SCPs. SCPs have some key differences VS normal IAM policies. 2/3 Questions on EKS (Elastic Kubernetes Service) - nothing 'Kubernetes-specific' but more about the service and CloudWatch Integration (Container Insights) - again not on this course and I have personal experience which got me through that questions More questions than I was expecting on Windows-specific storage options. Make sure you know when to use a given service for windows or not - including FSx Few questions on analysing policies, picking the right one based on scenario given. Permission Boundary came up too. Few questions on IAM in general Plenty of questions on Autoscaling Lots of questions on EBS, EFS - when to choose one or the other. I would say I got 6-8 questions across all 'topics' on these and details in some of these questions where not covered via this and require more detail knowledge. Only one question on EBS Storage types. Plenty of questions on S3 and a few on SnowBall. Plenty of Questions on Aurora, RDS - these for me where some of the most difficult. Would recommend diving deep on Aurora more than what this course does. More questions than I was expecting around VPN, Direct Connect, Private Link, Endpoints & Hybrid cloud options - these where also difficult for me Few questions on Storage gateway which I found challenging Few questions on KMS in general and when to use in each service VS service-native encryption for given scenario Few questions on Redshift but mostly picking no because questions related on 'Cost effective' solution for given scenario - which Redshift often wasn't for scenario given. Few questions on Kenisis - these where likely the ones I got mostly wrong as its a harder service to have experience with.

Coming to questions, in my experience, if you know your way around the platform you should be able to answer most of the questions. A big thanks for this tutorial Andrew Brown. I just cleared SAA within a week. Two Certifications in two weeks using your free videos. This is great public service you have done by bringing these free tutorials. Some advice to people who are planning to take SAA: Try to consume all the question resources free ones and paid ones too. I took Whizz labs paid practice test - but the exam was more difficult then whizz labs tests even. Try to write down the things which are new in the Mock tests which are not covered by Andrew Brown. I had zero previous AWS experience except the CCP exam which I passed a week ago from Andrew Browns video. In addition, Andrew browns videos might not be enough resource, try to consume every free resource in KZbin. I was working with these videos 12-14 hours a day writing everything down (maybe that's why it took me so much hours per day), but you don't have to target it in one week. Its impossible to pass in one week.

I passed the exam yesterday by watching this video to help consolidate everything I have learned. This video is very useful as a summary, but it WILL NOT help you pass the exam if you don’t have the fundamental understanding about AWS, networking and security. The intro slides and cheat sheets in every chapters are excellent notes for revision, albeit for typos and errors (you need to know the subject to spot them). Kudos to the producers!

I passed the SAA-C02 on 6th feb. I used this course to revise and is still relevant. I used whizlabs course and practice tests and was able to get a 918/1000 on the exam :). Thanks Andrew Brown for this one.

@@itsjaltarang sure no problem. It depends on how confident you feel going into the exam..its best to over prepare than to go under prepared. In my experience in addition to the courses the practice exams help alot because the exam questions are similar. Also reading the FAQs helps out

This is a great video! Thanks for doing this!!! Please be aware the AWS console UI changes over time, make sure to sign up the AWS account and practice on your own! Personally for me the Access control and versioning configuration looks different on the UI now. And deleting an object does seem like it deletes the original file if you don't check the box "list versioning". All in all, do it on your own to familiarize yourself with the console! all the best♥️
