11:53 bad Answer by the candidate! i am just 2 year exp guy, even my fellow developers create their own Terraform Scripts, Monitor Cloudtrail, setup alerts with cloudwatch and do log monitoring.... he must know cloudtrail and cloudwatch

First of all I want to mention that you help a lot of people out there with your amazing content. Secondly I don’t know why he was not selected, He seemed fine to me in terms of knowledge. People have made DevOps is similar to God role or something where you want someone to be excellent in Python, Cloud, Kubernetes, ArgoCD, Helm, Prometheus, Grafana Jenkins, GitLab, Github and what not. This guy had enough knowledge and he mentioned already in the beginning that he was doing less hands on in his current role. My suggestion is no one is perfect even you have very sound knowledge on DevOps and you didn’t know EBS CSI Driver which is used for dynamic provisioning of EBS in EKS. It clearly shows no one is 100%. Everyone deserves a chance.

@@kuldeepchauhan6106 Thanks for the feedback, mate. I also believe in giving chances as no one knows 100%. Even I don't know it, my criteria is always 65-75% of the questions that I ask. The issue is, this hiring was happening on behalf of someone else. I was only an interviewer, they gave me a sheet to fill with the feedback. The role was for an architect and they have some benchmarks. This recording and my feedback was shared with them. They take a look again at the interview and take a decision themselves. All in all, I am not the one to take a decision here, the management takes it. Also, if it was for me, I'd have hired him as a mid senior guy in my team but he's definitely not an architect for which this hiring was done.
