Apologies to asking quite late , I have a question bothering me from long . Why do we even such setup of private instance and nat gateway when the simple motto is to access the internet . Cannot we just stick to Public subnet and play with outbound inbound rules on the access concern . Why this whole procedure of having bastion host first and then nat gateway to access internet when we can just launch an instance and restrict inbound rules custom based ?

The thing here is that, bastions may not be used always in this scenario. Bastions will be used to protect a group of instance which will have limited access to internet. So the only way you can make connection will be either with vpc peering for instances or private link. So this is a example scenario. But in real time you will not have public internet access in prod or dev environments.

Sir, in the video u created an instance in the public subnet which we created( not a default subnet) and we were able to connect to the instance at 10:25 without creating internet gateway, how was it possible?

because he mentioned the public subnets and IGW entry in Public RT was already created as a part of last video

Hi Pythoholic, thank you for your clear explanation regarding the NAT device. I am new to AWS and following along your explanation on the command line, I observed that I do not have the '\AWS Files\' folder in my desktop. Where can I get this folder? Please help!

When we are saying private subnet, if we dont assign the public ip address for the EC2 instance that is deployed in private subnet. Then will it be able to reach the internet
@naveenraju5472 жыл бұрын
It is working even without public ip for private instance also. Thank you

These videos are kept for spacing so that, it comes out as per schedule. And most of the times these are short forms of long format videos.

What happens if give dynamic ip? I know it it will change the public IP address after Nat gateway restart (Aws maintenance). I just what to know where it will be getting impact because of natgateway public ip change?
@Pythoholic2 жыл бұрын
if you hard code it then it will effect the endpoints using it ie why we make use of elastic ips

Bhai aap bhut acha padhate ho , thanks for this beautiful series bus aap bata diya karo kya FREE TIER me hai aur kya nahi , mera NAT gateway use karne ka charge aa gaya 🥲.
@Pythoholic Жыл бұрын
Yes it is chargeable cause it uses Elastic ip. This is covered in ec2 load Balancing. Thanks
