One of the clearest talks i've ever watched in an often (for me) confusing space. But.....isn't this just taking the gap in security team headcount and spreading it out into engineering organizations? Since taking security into their hands will mean more time and expertise required? Better tools help reduce the needed additional HC, but there is still a need to account for another thing for engineers to do.

Rarely engineering/devops issues causing the security risks are fixed by security team, so the HC is already there. Its about the simplification of risk detection and fix. Imagine you as an engineer could remediate the issue causing the toxic combination with couple simple clicks? Thats the direction we are going with.
