Awesome talk. I've used SQL for 25 years and plan on doing it for a few more decades. Really good slide at 31:56 that shows how reads really don't slow down in this system (other than perhaps from your clock interval confidence?). Looking forward to this going GA.

While each component is critical to guaranteeing the distinct promise of DSQL, the Adjudicator is an example of peak innovation, IMHO. It's the heartbeat of this product to deliver the true distributed strong consistency(of course on top of another breathtaking innovation of globally synchronized hardware based clocks). Great talk.

Please implement a CDC system similar to DynamoDB Streams.

The change stream is already available in the form of journal. Exposing it to the customers would enable them to build a reader/applier plugin. It would certainly be better if AWS could offer such a component out of the box.

It's great that AWS finally has a competitor to Google Cloud Spanner. Google has had the highly synchronized clocks since over a decade, seems like they were on the right track.

In the context of using a PostgreSQL engine and in a single-region use case deployment, which solution offers better scalability (both up and down according to usage) performance and high availability: Aurora DSQL or Aurora Limitless? thx and very interesting stuff :)
