Hi Namrata, Till loaded RDS-MySQL DB to S3 bucket using DMS service it was fine and I understood but in my case, I want to after loaded table into S3 bucket so RDS DB tables should be deleted automatically after loaded into an S3 bucket, is it possible or not?
@NamrataHShah4 жыл бұрын
Its never a good idea to delete the data immediately in case you need to reload the data for any reason or cross verify it. It is a good practice to handle deletion separately leveraging a task or manually by an authorized user. After you copy your data you can trigger a lambda function to delete it.

If you are using AWS console to create replication instance, this role gets created automatically. But if you are using AwsCli, then please follow the below instructions to create the role. 1) Create a json file with below policy. Lets name it "dmsAssumeRolePolicyDocument.json" { "Version": "2012-10-17", "Statement": [ { "Effect": "Allow", "Principal": { "Service": "dms.amazonaws.com" }, "Action": "sts:AssumeRole" } ] } 2) Create the role using aws cli using the below command(json file name should match with the file created in the previous step) aws iam create-role --role-name dms-vpc-role --assume-role-policy-document file://dmsAssumeRolePolicyDocument.json’ 3) Now attach the AmazonDMSVPCManagementRole policy to the dms-vpc-role using the below command aws iam attach-role-policy --role-name dms-vpc-role --policy-arn arn:aws:iam::aws:policy/service-role/AmazonDMSVPCManagementRole You should be able to make DMS API calls now.
