I disagree...i don't think art is more interesting when it's specific. It's more interesting when it asks its audience to look a little deeper into it. When it's specific, it just is what it is. You could say that it can be more powerful since it's more in your face.

In my opinion it should have an impact at surface level, be it with impressive vocals, instrumentals, beats or lyrics, but it is true Art only if it transcends its boundaries and takes a deeper meaning for the viewers/listeners, if it makes them think. Then of course, if there are "easter eggs" or if you have to figure some things out, it's more fun, but I personally don't use it as a criterion.
