Wow ! Finally I found an Axe-Fx 3 Mk user who can actually play ! Thank You !

Impressive pitch tracking. My Eventide doesn't track that well.

Thank you! Fantastic demo of my favourite block.

I just spent thousands rebuilding my pedalboard. Its a mess of power supplies, patch cables, I can't decide from a number of stomp boxes, I haven't even started on MIDI cabling or USB and I couldn't find an up to date pitch unit. It's all going. I can do everything and more with this beast.

Dude I hear ya. I still use pedals live sometimes... sometimes I love it, other times I regret not taking my fractal

I wonder if the Axe-Fx 3 mk2 can replace my Yamaha Magic Stomp Holdsworth patches that use 8 independent pitch modulated delays in Stereo for mega thick chorus for clean sounds ? Great playing BTW !

I would buy presets from you as I dont have time to tweak!

Top man. Just ordered one.

Can someone compare the tracking of the Fx 3 versus a pitch fork pedal? You mentioned there is a noticeable tracking delay and people can't find that time on a pedal like the pitch fork
@d77sauce6 жыл бұрын
How would you compare the latency to other units? Would love to find out more about the ability to play in alternate tunings

How can i turn the pitch block on globaly to detune a half step. Because all my scenes are saved with it off but how can i turn it on and off separately.

I'm having problems shifting between patches with the learn button on. As I've composed stuff with the learn button on in the pitch block, and when I change the patch, the learn button goes off even if you save the patch. Any leads on that? It'll be a great help
@CamiloVelandia4 жыл бұрын
Hmm I'm not very familiar with the learn Button. Are you on the latest firmware? Also is it something you can maybe set in Global Settings
@manasquammahanta57384 жыл бұрын
Camilo Velandia Yes I’m on the latest firmware. I posted on the forum as well and I got the solution. We can control it assigning a modifier to it. Nonetheless, it’s a good hack. Thank you again for looking into the matter. Happiness!☘️

Hey Camilo! Big fan here writing from Colombia. I’m seriously considering on getting an AX8 (or luckily an FM3 if they release it someday), and because I use a lot of pitch and synth fx, I ended up here in your video. I would want to know if the fractal family has a preset that removes the attack of the guitar, kind of like a HOG or POG does. I want to get that Rosenwinkel type of effect and explore it. Do you know if this achievable? By the way, great playing as always!!!!

I own an AXE FX III and am no way as good as Camilo here, but I too like to play synth type stuff as well. I've found that turning your tone knob all the way down when using these type effects gets you very close to where you want to be. I hope that helps.
@SantiagoSandoval5 жыл бұрын
@@jacobwhitus3715 thanks a lot for your reply! Well, what I would like to do is to remove the attack from the actual signal of the guitar itself, not from the resulting synthesized signal, which is something that I think that happens when you roll down the tone pot and put the guitar through a synth effect. So... do you know if it's possible?
@jacobwhitus37155 жыл бұрын
Santiago Sandoval it has something to do with an eq. I would mess around with the eq block before it hits the synth block. It’s all trial and error for me.

How do you compare with real digitech whammy?
@trixdropd6 жыл бұрын
compared the the wh-1 it's missing the noise of the wh-1 (desirable). Listen to good friends and a bottle of pills and listen for tubular sound to see what I mean. it's in a lot of ratm too. The later whammy's all lack this too, because digitech didn't actually design the 1st one, IVL did. All the rest (not as good) are digitech designs.

Do you know how to program Tom Morello style Whammy "like a Stone"?
@CamiloVelandia4 жыл бұрын
Yup. Set to Classic whammy, and then set to +12 or +24 (can't remember how many octaves he does) and then assign the whammy to your expression pedal

Scared, see more than 50% of cpu usage with just two pitch blocks and the rest in your demo. I wanted at least 6 pitch block one per input for my hex pickup. This seems not possible thru current cpu resources consumption.
@CamiloVelandia3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching! To be fair, this video was done more than 16 firmware updates ago when the unit was brand new. Im not sure what may have changed in this particular situation, but its pretty much a different unit now.
@3DArt4All3 жыл бұрын
@@CamiloVelandia big thanks for your video anyway, for me the only resource on KZbin for my use case. If would be possible to measure with the latest firmware cpu consumption for 6 pitch blocks with equal dual pitch mode, that would be fantastic. Thanks a lot Stanislav
