The language is Punjabi, the language of a culture located inside the borders of India🇮🇳 and Pakistan. The words go: “O Na Kar Maan Rupaiye Waala Ban Ban Ke Na Bage”, which roughly translate to: ”Don’t keep on wanting money, people have loads and they’re never happy” The vocals are taken from a sample pack called “Deepest India” by a company called Zero-G. They field recorded it in 1996-7 in India. The vocalists are Bibi Swarn Nooran, Master Dilbahar and Sohan Lal - Axel Thesleff

This song helped me get thru long agonizing drives to Minneapolis when my bf was dying from liver failure in Abbott Northwestern Hospital. They gave him 3 months at best. His brother wanted him to go to a nursing home / hospice, where he would have died, but I fought it. Hard. He lived because I took him home and nursed him back to strength. Amen. So, thank you Axel and Run the Jewels for giving me the badass vibes to help back up my strength.
@lostpockets222711 ай бұрын
hi, how come his liver was failing? did he drink too much alcohol? not trying to be rude, I'm just genuinely curious because my dad drinks a lot and I'm always worried about him.
@MrNobyEh10 ай бұрын
What makes the difference in a persons recovery is the people that are around them to push them to remember their live matters… it helps to push them to recognize there is a purpose to their life and encourages them to push to consider their recovery because their life has some purpose….
@yoyoclockEbay10 ай бұрын
Where there is will, there is definitely a way. You have in essence restored an amount of good karma back into this world, this is no small feat.
@nbsoboleski10 ай бұрын
@lostpockets2227 sorry, I just saw your reply now --- yes, at 37, my crazy beloved essentially destroyed himself by self-medicating with vodka over a decade. Alcoholism is generally bad for the body, mind, spirit. Not a big shock there, but, some forms are more devastating than others. I didn't know, but apparently vodka is the worst of all, in terms of liver cirrhosis damage. It's good that you keep your eyes on your dad, and have concerns. Depending on what he drinks, how often, and for how many years -- all of that might determine whether or not he's in immediate danger. Definitely, I recommend a heart to heart talk and convince him to go for a check up, with labs run, hopefully with you in tow. Guys have a tendency to mask symptoms, live in pain and illness until they are near death. At that point, it's too late. Can't believe still, that my bf escaped an early death.
@nbsoboleski10 ай бұрын
@yoyoclockEbay thank you so much! Some days I struggle, getting caught up and upset with what I consider my setbacks... but remembering that I put on the "villian" suit, to fight for what I believed in, was worth it because the person I've loved for so long (and has been a friend since I was 12), made it through the mire. My dad is a nurse at Abbott, and he occasionally shocks his colleagues today by informing him that Mike lived. The guy who was getting blood, and shitting himself the day he was discharged. Even tho I made 5hr trips to essentially relocate for half my life during 45 days, I visited him for 12 hours but he was still depressed. It took a while, but forcing him out to cover a "bucket list" and informally planning a funeral to accommodate his wishes, the love he felt, fresh air, freedom, going on little trips, proves (like another kind reply noticed) that mind over matter is powerful. Knowing how loved you are and feeling purpose, allows the body to overcome insurmountable tasks. 😀 Thank you!

Ha Ha, this song has a big history in my life, I remember the day I moved to Australia in 2013 (I live here now and a Aussie Citizen). Basically I never knew how to swim, I learned, became good, now I am a National Level Swimmer, I represent Australia... But this song.... It motivated me to become that, it helped me to become the person I am today, I played this song when I was in pain, played it when I was confused with life, it helps

Love the symbolism in the video for this. I feel as if I come from the opposite side, I start walking down a path in the woods and sooner or later I climb over a fence and start to walk down a road, then into the city limits, then wandering downtown among high rises, talking to the people, gesturing, becoming more like them, first a homeless man, then a street preacher, then a holy man with beads swinging and robes dragging in the road, then author with glasses and book under arm walking quickly into a cafe, then finally grungy rave kid walking into a darkened room exploding with sound. We are all one people. We are all on one journey. Help those around you and never forget the truth.
