Your video helped me a lot I bought my euros tonight and installed them same night At first I didn’t plug in the 3rd brake light and couldn’t really tell if it mattered but I ended up plugging the 3rd brake light in and I think it was necessary

A good video. you can understand every step. also good to see that Ford makes the wiring easy with quick-to-pop-off-covers. Did I understand right, that the connector under the roof is a T-piece to receive the signal from the brake pedal? Is this signal also needed somehow for the tail lights? Do you also by chance know the system behind the rear driving light? where is the wiring going? In some countries (mainly Europe) there is a rear fog light needed. So i woulg eg. install a switch in the cockpit incl. control light in the switch and plug it to 12V in the Fuse-box (free slot secured with approx. 5-10A) and then lead it to the rear. (I would go through A-pillar, roof, C-pillar, seat belt cover (your trick, i liked it) and the same way as the break light from your video. Now we would have the possibility to either hijack the cable going to the rear driving light and if it is strong enough, use it as rear fog light, with a red bulb if possible, or if there is an LED-bar, a red foil or modify with a red led-bar. This would be possible, if the VLAND-tail lights had a rear driving light already. But: where would the cable harness to the rear driving light be? If not, then we would need to add a wire to the rear driving light area and exchange it for some Aliexpress OEM-light or be lucky and find a used original. worst case: expensive part at Ford directly new (though quality-wise best option and you keep the car in the most original way, except the VLANDS). happy to read from you, cheers

maybe too late for this guy, but for others: if you use a screw driver to pop out the connector, you do not need a lot of space. also use beak pliers

yes. you need to plug in the third brake light for the brake lights to work. however, the tail lights themselves will fit in a 15-22 mustang
