Plenty of us wondering where you have been. I have a Sportwerks Chaos I have been contemplating pulling the engine from and putting in a WLToys 144001. No idea if I will see it through but, your channel was an inspiration for that idea. I'm not aware of any other small scale nitro cars on the market and it seems like all the new offerings have dried up. Would be nice to have a model I can get parts for still. Looking forward to see where this one goes. It will be unique when it's finished.

Yeah me too, if they were still being made! Plus no aluminum chassis makes it harder, though not impossible

@@mininitrorc I started it once, in the kitchen, scared the bejeezlus out of the cat. But that's about it. In the process of trying to cram 2s LiFE batteries and a Futaba S-FHSS receiver onto it as well as figure out a body solution that A: looks good B: allows the use of an air filter as the car will be run outdoors where dirst/dust ingress will obliterate the engine in seconds. Also need to figure out a chassis stiffener before it lunches a bell/spur as the gear mesh there can vary wildly based on chassis flex in that area. It's been a backburner project, but it is still here. I can see it where I'm sitting typing this right now.

If you're going to keep making videos I'd recommend getting a green cutting mat to film on or at least something that's a little bit darker. The white table is going to be pretty much constantly killing your exposure making everything else look really dark.

Good point. I just shoot these on my phone after work, but I have some wooden stands I can film on. I will switch to those

I'm not sure. I will have to factor my time, the materials, and how "clean" the finished product is. Probably in the $400 range, but I won't know till I'm done. I won't get rich from this, but I do want to make it worth my time, and my Mini B and T sold for $500 each if I remember correctly, which made those worth doing for sure.
