Hi there, so I just installed this esc on my UTB18 Today and have been watching your video on this, I installed the esc with that "V" notch on top and it fit into that space perfectly..I was just wondering what direction you did yours? Anyway, Wow!! I was looking at getting the Furitek Torpedo system, but it was a lot more money!...I'm using a Futaba 4pm, and got a Futaba 4 ch. reciever, installed/programmed, and It drives Awesome!! Way better than stock for sure! Well anyway, have a good one 👍 Cool Rig !

I think that “v” is why mine didnt fit pefectly i think it may be on the bottom so I will reposition it. Thanks for the awesome info and yeah its a great upgrade. I was going to go brushless but ive decided to hold off since its been performing great as is. Thanks and stay cool!

Did you have to reverse gears in that front axle using it in the rear? Or just bolt it up and it spun OK?

Great question! It was just a “plug and play” ready to go once it was connected properly with no worries about changing the gears, it was easy once i had the 4WS parts from Axial. Thanks for asking as this is my favorite 4WS rc i have. Stay awesome and RC on!

I'm looking at a new motor and ESC for my UTB18 and the choices I have are 40T,30T,13T,11T and have no idea what the difference is or which one is best for crawling

The higher the T(turn) then the slower and more contolled the motor will be. Turn is the amount of wraps the internal wires are wound. So if its 30 turn than the internal wire wraps around 30 times or 30T. Lower Turn amounts mean more speed but less slow speed torque and control. Things get different when you have to factor in slots(amount of spaces between internal magnets) but im assuming all these motors your looking at are 3 slot motors. Dont sweat it, i would say if you want to set it up for straight crawling than go for the 30t or 40t. If you want crawling and some speed for trailing than a little less turn motor would work for that but you would loose quite a bit of slow speed modulation for crawling only to have a gain in speed for faster driving. Personally i woold go for the 30t or 40t for good slow modulation and good crawling.

@@deanmachinerc I will probably need more help, I have ordered every thing I want now and look's like the only thing that will remain from the lil capra is going to be the frame and the head light's/rock light's and the interior 🤣😂

@@bikeracr one easy part for me is the lights, i used the stock lights with the stock plugs and just make sure when they are plugged in to your new controllers receiver channel slots that you plug the stock red plugs (term for red plug is a JST PLUG) the positive and negative in correctly. Side note: i didnt use a jst adapter plug but i recommend it if you plan on making it more water tight as I dont drive through streams or creeks I never had an issue so I plugged the stock JST light connection directly to the correct + and - terminal on receiver. ) lights stay on all the time just as they did stock

I already had multiple spectrum servos in my parts bin along with the Hobbywing 1080esc and rediolink remote/receiver so all I had to buy for mine was the front axle assembly from Amain Hobbies here: www.amainhobbies.com/axial-utb18-capra-assembled-steering-axle-axi218001/p1454496
