love the video, I made my own axial flux with 24 AWG 0.5mm Magnetic wire. I got 40 volts out of it when i put the drill on it. I plan to make a another with thicker wire and bigger Neo Magnets.

I'm building one with 36 ring magnets on each Honda brake rotor. I have 80 magnets coming with screw holes in the middle. I'm going to use two per coil. I won't have to change those bearings anytime soon. I used a front hub off a 750 Honda Super Sport. I don't think Mr. Missouri uses motorcycle wheels for blade hubs. lol

use pvc pipe for bushings that you wrap coil wire on instead of metal to protect varnish on wire, comes in all sizes and easy to work with. how do you know what combination of wire guage, number of turns, and magnets gives what volts and amps at what rpm? good clear vid THANX!

Hi! for many years i got on my mind make an axial flux generator for a wind turbine, i love axial flux coreless stator a dual magnet rotors coz the cero cogging with open curcuit that's very good for start spinning, robust, simply to do, and relatively cheaper, sorry my english, i'm from Corrientes, Argentina, i watched all your videos, and this push me more to take the desision to begin this ambisious project!, so, my goal would be make an axial flux generator that can reach 3 or 4 kw to charge 24 volt batteries bank system and can generate 100 or more amps, and a hybrid mppt controller(like the 150 midnite classic) to add solar panels in the future, i start to buying the magnets today, the stuff that i got in my mind is make a 24 poles and 18 copper coils, the coils would make with 1mm enameled copper x 10 paralel, one issue would be make the blades for me, the question is how many turns i 'll need to reach these output power? thinking that the stator would have 6 in series each phases, the magnets are the neodimium N42 grade 40mmx20mmx10mm sizes, i just about to order 50 for the discount, but i'll need only 48 magnets, the 2 would be if break accidentally somes, i need your aswer about what you thinking of my project in general, and to get that voltage and that amps how many turns i will need make for low and moderate winds, i know that due the size of blades also, and some gusts wind sometimes, i hope you very helpfully answer from you guys, Thank you so much in advance!!! At 11:51 about 1.5 inches from your cut I notice there is damage to the enamel ....could you tell if this is this the only damaged part of the wire or is there maybe say something abrasive along the path of the wire coming off the spool which could be damaging the entire wire in multiple places ? Then again is it even damaged at all or is it possibly just the static of unraveling the wire off the factory spool (if this is even possible at all ) attracting some old loose enamel shavings from cleaning the ends of a previous coil ? Either way it caught my attention and because of my over analytical mindset (for good reasonings from my own personal mistakes and failures at this ) I cant help but wonder how if at all will it effect the ampacity of the enamel wire and depending upon any other possible exposed wires will the coil short out , or , what if the damaged scrapes and rubbed off enamel areas are in a place where it wont effect it at all ? I'm still learning so please forgive me and try to understand if I miss use a term or ask a not so smart question okay haha but as the enamel is damaged will it effect the its ability to conduct if the damaged area is in such a position that it is not shorting out against another damaged area of wire or say if the damaged area is within the middle of the coil not touching the stator in anyway and if the latter then will the eddy current be effected at all and if so will this once again effect the coils integrity ? I hope I asked this correctly haha... Anyhow very cool video and I have a million questions but maybe for another day ...

Yes, you have to weigh them. And weighing them keeps the counting of turns the same. So if you have a heavier one than the three you made before. Then that has been wound loosely and has more turns. So yes I weigh them. Good question thanks for commenting.

I didn't find SSR for 48v. I will do it with 3 phase SSR and i will put the dump loads in every phase of turbine. Like the clipper of classic

All this parameters are calculated according to GA of wire, number of turns, number of coils, speed of system - RPM. All are introduced in equations to determinate the power and condition of generator. Exist one manual what present step by step all operation needed to be done to calculate the axial generator. First time you need to know the average speed of wind in your area. If wind blow just 3-4 months every years it is not recommended to install this type of turbine. To can have efficiency it is mandatory to have wind minim 7-8 months/year and this to have minim 3-4 m/s - minim 12-16 hours/ day. Starting from this point you decide what type of turbine you will install , for what power and what is efficiency of this. It is a long way to follow to can calculate this turbine. Just for fun you can create one turbine 3 coil and 2x4 magnets and to see how will work. Good luck !

I saw where you were testing for resistance on your coils. I suggest using a Fluke multi meter big difference on getting good readings. i found the same larger wire is easier to see and control , i would love to be out in the open plains for the turbines. Orlando really does have a super fast super accurate winder Orlando always surprised me with his ingenuity. yeh with the other thing you didnt even focus on his product in that YT so it was purely spiteful .
