That was a proper beating Harley !! I wish you'd get the Incision line rolling for the XL !! I'm currently drawing up a bomber XL... Either that or I'm building a XMAXX Straight Axle Crawler with your modded Vanquish XL axles or the Kyosho axles... I'm leaning towards the Vanquish tho it will require brainpower..I'm also designing a chain drive center diff that is DIG capable..

I noticed when you reassembled everything, you didn't use any grease. Does it need it?

+Jason E it still has a light coating of the factory grease. More would have been better but I was lazy since I know I'll be replacing gears before long.

if you are going to bash hard wouldnt keeping the stock plastic steering arm help as a "Servo Saver" to allow that give rather than transering all that hard hitting bashing onto the servo motor directly?? or addding a servo saver (kimbrough servo saver) if you are going to bash like crazy?

+Nick Pausch if I wasn't concerned with steering performance then those would be an option. However those two options make for a very poor steering feel especially in the rocks. A quality servo is the way I always prefer.

Servo saver makes steering crap. But metal horn with plastic steering links would work fine and save the servo. But an upgraded servo is kind of a must anyways

Do you recommend putting the thick black grease in diffs? I notced your gears are dry. I was told to put thick grease in the diffs and the transmission? I would appreciate your input. Thanks!

Are the Vanquish multipart lockers any better or worse then the Incision version. I have both sets. What set would be better for a wraith build with Vanquish housings ?

We stopped making the multi piece style because the Incision locker works so well and is less expensive. People prefer the simplicity in all honesty.

+Buster Brown I have 3 total, one setup for each of the popular sizes (1.5, 2.0, 2.5). One driver is my old Ryobi 4Tek with clutch (discontinued) and the other 2 are Genesis 7.2v with clutch (2 for $50 on Amazon).

+Harley Designs thanks for the response. I run the same setup with a 16t pinion and it runs surprisingly cool. As you can imagine the speed is absolutely insane and full throttle is rare. I don't mean to spoil anything but if you were going to do shocks would you do the slash power strokes or splurge on the pro spec's?
