You've done a solid job with this video, seriously. Pacing, framing, driving - love it! (My white Jeep just arrived yesterday, I'm already fiddling with it!)

If you move the shocks you get much better articulation. I’ve found on the Jeep (same one as this) I moved the tops of the shocks forward on both the front and the rear springs. The angle of the shocks allow for longer travel, but I found that the truck actually sits lower in the stroke at rest, lowering the CG. (This doesn’t work on the other SCX24’s as the suspension geometry is different.)
@SonoranScaleStudios3 жыл бұрын
Will have to look into this and test it out, lowering the CG on the jeep would definitely gain some performance! Thanks for the input and for watching!!

Laying down the shocks also weakens the springs.

NIce mods. Never considered the bumper mod before and didn't want to cut the body. But you did a great job and it looks good up front.

I know what you mean.......had to take a deep breath before starting to trim the body......its too gorgeous to mangle!

I ddi not want to remove the bumper on mine. I did, however remove the two brackets that stick the bumper out from the frame. I reattached the bumper section with the lights directly to the frame and only did slight triming to get the lights to shine free of obstruction.

That segment was filmed in the Maricopa Mountains overlooking Hidden Valley south of Maricopa AZ. If that’s the location you are thinking then we are likely pretty close neighbors. If you’re in the area lmk if you ever want to do some trail crawling!

I put some cheap ebay metal beadlocks with RC4wd Mickery Thomsen Baja Claw on. Way more torque because there smaller in diameter also lower center of gravity.and less stress for stearing servo and non wheel rubbing on the body. But i like your mods very much.
@SonoranScaleStudios2 жыл бұрын
I bet that looks nice with the Baja claws! Still looking for tires to put on the scx24 bronco……maybe the Claw will be a good choice, thanks for sharing!

I have some of the stick on weights I bought for another project. I'm have to add one t the steering servo. I feel it's super light in front end going over stuff. I added the wheel weights and axle extension already but feels like it could use a little more
@SonoranScaleStudios3 жыл бұрын
Could add some more down low weight with some alloy wheels and maybe some brass diff covers? They are lightweight little things no doubt!

I've never heard of ceiling fan weights.
@SonoranScaleStudios3 жыл бұрын
Basically the same thing as an automotive wheel balancing weight but are included with any ceiling fan I’ve ever installed. Used to balance uneven fan blade rotation or wobble. Most hardware stores also sell fan blade balancing kits as a standalone
