If you're running VP SCX10 housings you dont need to modify anything. It has removable diff covers allowing access to the set screws. the VP lockers also use the same exact 4 screws to mount the locker to the ring gear as stock.

I installed the VP lockers with the gasket the first go around. very very tight fit. I removed the gasket and it was much easier fit. I would recommend not using the gasket because the bearings will not seat in the slots with ease. the VP lockers were designed to not use the gasket.

Yeah it looks like no gasket was used so I did mine the same way. I don't know if it matters or not?? I ordered some gaskets just in case.

So this gets rid of the slop you get from the Axel shafts to the lockers?

Hello, I,m looking to buy these lockers, and your aluminum axle housings for the scx10, in your video you stated you needed to modify slightly to access the set screws, are those what is keeping the bevel and the locker together?

no gasket needed with these lockers.

For the set screws to work you need the VP VVD's! They will not work with the stock kit Axial Universals. It is too bad they don't mention this anywhere!! Mo' Money out!! :D

Having serious issues fitting this spool into the new V2 housing - doesn't fit just in case someone is thinking of this combo for their 10th scale Yeti. Save your $$ and go with HR lockers..

I'm not real familiar with these rc trucks but that's not a locker, it's a spool! Calling it a locker would mean that at some point it would either automatically or mechanically disengage at some point. Just saying, don't get so excited... it's a simple spool.

that really sucks thoug i did find away round it i bought the topcad locker so no set screw`s and way cheaper lol
