Loved the video @gijoe16! Can't wait for the next video man! First video of yours that I'm watching and loving the content man! I was looking to see how the IPC's were Calculated (aside from the every 1,000,000 man Hours of Production as stated in the Rulebooks and on the Wikipedia Article) which is still throwing me for Loop after Loop because the 1,000,000 Hours of Production means it's Every 41,666 Days and 8 Hours or around 114 Years, 1 Month, 3 Weeks, 6 Days and about 8 Hours. Not sure how it's Calculated aside from Resource Availability and Production Quality and Capacity and so on which would be quite the Headache. I do like the Idea of Custom Cash like Historical Board Gaming's Battle Bucks and @siredblood's own Cash and I think the IPC Chips could also be used as Markers to track your Spending in Game. This kinda opens the Cash Register for a little bit of Monopoly for Axis & Allies, just Have some National Cash Sets and some Registers and you'd have someone to act as the Bank. There is one major thing that I've been Kicking around for a while and that was something else pertaining to the IPC's and the Start up for the Game. This will be Brought up in Siredblood's latest video as well but I'm thinking about how you could play the whole of World War Two with Axis & Allies. Basically, you start off in 1939 as you would Normally for 1940, except for the Following: • Germany Has to invade Poland in the 1939 Turn, Denmark and Norway in the 1940 Turn and France as well as the Low Countries in the 1941 Turn before Invading the Soviet Union, all while also starting to Supply the Fins in the 1940 Turn. • The Soviets Invade Poland, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania in the 1939 Turn and Start Fighting the Fins in the 1940 Turn before Defending against Germany in the 1941 Turn. • The British Have to Build up forces in the 1939 Turn, Defend Norway in the 1940 Turn and France in the 1941 Turn as well as their Respective Territories from Japan (Singapore, Malaya and the Solomon Islands which are Administered by the Australians). • The Japanese Have to invade China in the 1939 Turn, Singapore and Malaya in the 1940 Turn before Attacking the United States Pacific Fleet at Pearl Harbor on the Island of Oahu in Hawai'i at the End of the 1941 Turn as well as Invading the Philippines, Guam and Fighting against the Marines who were supported by Civilian Contractors at Wake Island. • The United States of America Has to Build up forces in Preparation for a Possible war with Japan in the 1939 and 1940 Turns while Also Providing Tanks and Aircraft to The British under Lend-Lease before being Attacked by Japan at Pearl Harbor, The Philippines, Guam and Wake Island at the End of the 1941 Turn. The "Destroyers for Bases Agreement of 1940" will come into play for the United States and Great Britain as The United States will send about 50 World War One Period Destroyers in Exchange for Bases that were In the Caribbean sea and off the East Coast of the United States. This all to get the Stage Set for 1942 onwards and at the End of each Year, the Players will get their Victory IPC's and any Applicable Bonus IPC's as per the 1940 rules. The Players can only Spend all but the Starting IPC's for 1940. After which, you'll continue doing the Same but using the 1942 Starting IPC's as the Limits to how much you can spend after each Year. The Atlantic Convoys to the British, the Arctic Convoys to the Soviets as well as the Persian Corridor and the Alaskan-Siberian Ferry Route as well as Aid to Russia from the British to the Soviets should also be Underway during this period. Let me know what you think about this and I'll catch you in your next video man!

Thank you very much for the explication. Huge channel, a lot of quality content and explanations. I'm using it to learn how to play blood mode (I just ordered the map). Thank you. Greetings from Pamplona (Spain) with a heat wave that takes us to 40ºC (104ºF)

You can most certainly get your hands on the Classic/Revised stack of IPC paper money without buying the game... a simple perusing of E-Bay will usually find various components of A&A Classic being sold independently of the game, and the IPC paper money from Classic can certainly be found on E-Bay... having said that, I also prefer HBG Battle Bucks for paper money and I also own a couple sets of IWNGU IPC chips. Just trying to suggest another option to getting IPC paper money for those that might prefer the classic style.

Good to know, Mithrennon! Thanks for the input. Totally agree with you on the battle bucks. Thanks for watching and chiming in!

If anyone has a link for a download of the Siredblood IPCs to share that would be amazing. It appears it is not readily available anymore..

You can't get away with 1 set and 2 x 25's. There is enough money but you are short a few 1's. You can contact James at IWNGU through A&A dot org and purchase singles of any type of chip for $1.25 each. I bought 2 mini upgrades and eventually regretted it because I was looking for some type of token to use for my R&D house rule. I purchased them later along with a few 1's, 5's, and 10's. I recently picked up another set though because the game is so large that it's nice to have some money at each end of the table to avoid reaching over your teammate. Best type of money for sure.

Didn’t know he sold them separate. Good to know. I bought 2 basics and 2 deluxe and that has enough for the game. I like the idea of chips at both ends of the table for sure! Thank GHG!
@wolfshanze59807 жыл бұрын
Ya, I bought the original set and one mini-upgrade of five 25s... like you, I found there just wasn't enough, so I bought a second set of five 25s (bringing my total of 25s up to ten), and I contacted IWNGU by email and made a separate purchase for ten more 10s (bringing my total of 10s up to twenty).

Yeah, thanks to you, GHG, I added ten of the 1 IPC chips to my order, so I hope that will be enough to avoid running out of 1s in my game. :-)

Do you know where I can still buy the 1940 2nd editions for europe and pacific without paying 300 euros ?
@gijoe6163 жыл бұрын
Hello! Cheapest place I know is Amazon. I just checked and it’s about 65-68€ per game. Not sure about shipping costs nor if you even have access to Amazon.

Hi Great channel! I just purchased global A&A (on its way) and have some questions. Haven't played much A&A for a decade.. About the chips: 1. Is one regular set and one mini upgrade enough for Global War or how many set do I need? 2. What are tech chips used for? 3. If you don't use the tech ships did you consider using them as 1's or 20's? Cheers Lars
@gijoe6167 жыл бұрын
Hey Lars! Thanks for watching and the kind comments. The Basic set and mini upgrade will leave you with the follow after handing out starting currency: 1’s - 9 5’s - 11 10’s - 2 That’s not a lot left as there are about $30-40 in neutral countries left open to grab...and that doesn’t account for territories changing hands. I think General Hand Grenade mentioned that IWNGU May let you order extra ones or something like that. May need to check with him. As far as tech chips - I don’t use them. Sure, you could make them 20’s I guess if you want. If I had it to do over, I wouldn’t have gotten the deluxe upgrade set, rather I would have purchased 2 mini sets and gotten 10 twenty five dollar chips. That might suffice. Hope this helps!

3 years late. I just got mine with tech chips. I have an idea on how to use mine. You know how when you get a new tech, you place your market to say "this is mine", right? Well... If you research all tech, take back all your tokens and take a tech token. If all players have all tech(unlikely) then get rid of them from the game.
