Excellent vid chap, exactly what I needed, no pointless chatter and super easy to follow. Wish me luck! 😁

About time I found a vid that shows what wrenching on a Midwest vehicle really looks like. Torches and hammers are a necessity.

I agree, some if not all of the other videos make it look like things go pretty easily on this repair. But it is a fairly big job and things do get rusted, stuck or hard to reach, glad you showed that. And don’t forget everyone, clean off the rotor with brake cleaner before the wheel goes back on. Almost a guarantee that some greasy something will have gotten on it by now!

Mate… your video is perfect as it is, it represents the means, the majority of us have.

Again thanks for the video. Got my parts and the two tools I needed and got the job done. After getting it all apart I found my problem one of the caps was rusted inside and you could see the heat damage. This video had all the info I needed. Only strange things was I didn't have any spacers on either axle shaft.

Great video shows that it's doable in the drive way with most common tools

Thanks for the video! I think I need to do this as well and this video is really going to help. Question though. I need to pick up a few things, which impact driver are you using? You seem to be happy with it.. thanks

Thanks for the video had everything I needed. Just ordered new u joints for my 11 jku Rubicon. And some cheap tools. Now I'm wondering if I should do the axle seals while I have most of it in pieces. And then I wonder at what point do you stop at.

Good and very helpful video... but tapping the cap with a hammer is a major NO. You have a press tool, just use that instead :)

Im having major issues with my ujoint job, I have a 2012 Jeep Wrangler sport JK. I go on any auto parts store website, put in my vin, and shown a selection of everything that SHOULD fit. I pickup some Spicer 5-153x joints with the intention of replacing both fronts as a day job. Fought with the damn joint for 4 hours with success, but the brand new joints are significantly smaller than the bore. This is a time sensitive issue and i really need this fixed by tonight. Any help/advice is more than appreciated.

Just curious did you have any steering looseness or play when driving or did you know the u joints were bad from noise only. Got a quick/short gap somewhere in one of the steering components. Just can't find it😮💨

The first step is to take off the wheel? What about lifting and supporting it first ;)
