@@nyoomnyoomnyoom I have three axolotls, Rory, Emily and Dinky, all of which I grew from eggs. I also have three yellow bellied toads, a adult budwing mantis and a baby giant african mantis, and a cat. Maybe get some kind of frog, like a yellow bellied toad (I know there name is toad, but they are actually frogs). They are extremely easy to keep, all you have to do is pop food in accasionally, and do the roughly once a week water change. They are not nocturnal frogs, so you can have hours of entertainment watching them jump around and accasionally cannonball into the water too 😆

Just a second is fine though if you have to transfer them. But it's better if you take them out of the water in a little tupperware. Place the tupperware inside the tank and scoop your axolotl out. That way he/she will never be out of the water

They are quite hard to keep if you never had an aquatic pet before. You have to know how to cycle your tank (nitrogen cycle) which can take from 3 to 8 weeks (ours took 8 weeks, look into fishless cycle on KZbin). You also need to have an expensive tank set up because axolotls lives in cold water between 16-18°c and you'll need a water chiller (which cost a lot 😆) and that's only a fews of what you need to learn and equipment you should have but if you're commited then it will be fine but know that they live up to 15 years and you can forget long holidays 🤣

Hi! Just spend time with your axolotl and make them know your hand is not food. Let them nip you without taking your hand out and try not to be scared. They'll end up knowing it's not something they can eat.

If you have enough surface movement it could be OK but you can't have an axolotl without a water chiller. A water chiller cost a lot but if you don't have it your axolotl will die for sure. Just don't risk it if you can't have one because it just doesn't worth it.
