Being a Boston Whaler owner i used to look at these early models and not see quality. Not so much now they have worked hard. They do offer very good value and for the actual little use many leisure owners give their boats mine is under 23 running hrs a season. I really enjoyed seeing your video of your own Axo27 with your 400 verado along with your mods and little tweeks. Well done. Thank you. From the UK.

Hello Bart, once again your videos are a joy to watch. Fellow Greek here, like the boat you are reviewing. I saw that your customer did not opt for the factory battery charger and you installed a Victron Combi inverter/charger which has the very nice option of being connected to the Simrad display. If you have the time please see my questions below: 1) What model did you use? Is it connected out of the box with the adaptor or is there a bridge needed? 2) Why did you not go for the factory one? Is it not compatible like the Victron with the Simrad display? 3) Why did you install the plug outside instead of inside the front locker where it is now installed I suppose for more protection? What do you recommend for south Florida weather cabin or suntop? The suntop seems to look better for entertaining in my opinion.

Hello John, we're from The Netherlands which is quite a different climate from that in Florida. 80% of the 28's and 37's we sell are cabin versions but in Florida, I gues a Suntop would be more suitable. Thank you for the best Axopar reviews available. I hope you have time for a quick question: Now that you have tried the 37 with both the V8 and L6 engines, could you share which ones you prefer, if cost was not taken into account? Did you find the V8 or the L6 quieter? All the best from Vancouver

Hi there in Canada, and thank you for your watching our videos and your compliment. The choice between the L6 and the V8 is a personal one. I really love the new V8's, the fuel efficiency is slightly better at higher speeds, the torque is better, they have less weight, it is easier to check the oil level, and there are some other advantages. However, since I personally do a lot of slow driving, I chose to have an L6 400 for my Axopar 28 Cabin. My personal experience is that the L6 is slightly smoother and quiter when driving slowly. A lot depends on your way of driving, looks are also important to some people, and yes, cost is also an issue. I suggest you talk to your dealer and try to test both. Thank you Bart, I will try and test out both to see which is better for the Pacific NW. This will be the first time for us with an outboard (we keep a Sciallino Gemy back in Europe), with a lot of floating logs in this area I feel safer with an outboard. The choice now came between the Axopar 37, but the new Rhea 32 Timonier is quite intriguing. Have you seen it in Dusseldorf? Any thoughts on that boat? I don't know anyone that owns one yet.. @@smileoftenatsea You're most welcome again of course. I don't know the Rhea 32 Timonier but just had a look on the website. A great boat, I like the concept and what it seems to offer, even though there are only renderings. I know Rhea boats and think their quality is quite good, certainly way above the average French quality. But I would certainly recommend checking if there is a good dealer in your area, without that I'd be hesitant to buy one. I wish you lots of wisdom ;) and fun!

Esthec, which will no longer be an option as of MY 2022 I understand. Axopar is looking at alternatives.
