I was in Albuquerque around 85 there was a night club in North Alameda St. It said tonight only Roberto Griego I had a 8 track tape of him, I live in Utah! I know don't laugh, Anyway I was there for a funeral, I would always play that tape. So I went in the bar there he was singing on stage, he took a break he was at the bar I started talking to him telling him about my 8 track, told him my name and told him I was from Utah he bought me a beer he was so nice and pleasant, when he went back to play, he said in the mic this next song is to my friend Lee from Utah. I thought I was so cool, there drinking the beer he bought me listening to him sing the song. That's it! That's my story of meeting Roberto Griego.

Just found this full CD on EBay para mi padre. I always felt too white to be Hispano but too Hispano to be white. But I always remember this song and Arriba Nuevo Mexico and remember it doesn’t matter either way, we’re all from the land of enchantment and that means something. Love this song!
