Exactly. Imagine a role reversal of one woman and four husbands. One woman is pregnant, now who is the father of the baby? Also she can only get pregnant every 9 months. Surely her body would take a toll after the fourth pregnancy from the fourth husband. Suppose husband # 1 wants to father two more child. Who goes first? So many issue in male polygonomy that cannot be addressed in Islam. It make more sense to have four wives, one husband. Now the husband can birth four children at the same time within one year. With four wives and three children each, the family can grow to 12 children in three years. Of course that is only one aspect of Islam that make perfect sense and that Allah truly knows best for humankind.

Your last point is wrong. It's not recommended to marry only one. What is recommended is doing ADL (justice). Allah started with two's, three's, and four's, not with "one". Every man is supposed to be Adil from the default, yet because we are conditioned in a so called monogamous society (that cheats on each other left and right), many men do not take a chance at even being Adil. Of course one must have the means. To marry only one is a last resort, and is easiest to do adl. The others are harder, but have a higher reward.

It's a shame that Ayaan Hirsi could not be addressed directly by Mohammed Hijab in a conventional debate setting. Had this been done she wouldn't have got away with her regurgitated and outdated anti Islamic rhetoric. Just to address the point of inheritance for any brother or sister who are confused or doubtful. There are many cases where women actually inherit more than men. But in the case of a brother and sister, Islam gives the sister half the brother, because the brother is responsible for starting a family. The brother/man will pay dowry and wedding costs, then he will be responsible for providing for the family not the wife, he will be responsible for paying for the house, food, clothing and any children expenditure in the future. Whilst the sister will have a man ask for her hand and provide her with all that so she doesn’t need to spend a penny on anyone but herself, in fact she would be blessed with gifts and gold on top of her dowry and fully paid for living expenses for the rest of her life, and the man cannot even take one penny from her wealth! Now you be the judge and tell me which system is kinder and fairer to women? The one where she has to work 40 hours a week and pay half the bills, have kids, look after the house and deal with other household issues, or where she’s free to look after the house and children, free to work (as long as her house is in order), all her expenses paid and she gets to have a social life with friends and family and doesn’t have to work (she can if she chooses to). Islam is the superior system not because Muslims are special, but because God has provided these solutions for us but we are too ignorant and arrogant to follow. الحمد لله ☝🏼

Look I am agnostic but I will say that if I ever beieleved in God I would be a Muslim. Its the most logical way of life. Can I just add for the sake of dawah (invitation to Islam) you could have spoken politely and with a smile. I mean I get that you were angry. But think about the neutrals who don't really care much. You could have invited and inspired them with your behaviour and smile. I am sure 90% of the angry muslims won't understand the importance of this. It's hard to be polite and put up a smile when confronting people who have absolute disregard for what you believe in. It is also unlikely for someone who has made thier life goal to disrespect and degrade the truth to be affected by anything short of some stern, cold words. It's interesting how we never complain about all the great physical, universal or monetary blessings the Almighty has given us, but we have so much to say and object to about the few 'Instructions Of Use' which He gave us via Revelation and trusted Prophets. Even within revelation, you find that the objections are hypocritical. For example, you never find these sorts of people complain about why men are mandated to spend on their wives, or men have to pay the dowries, or defend the women with their lives etc. In short, who are we to object to the Master of the Universe the All Wise the Knowing.

Even tough i am not a scholar but i can easily turn down her silly argument. For example at the time of Prophet Mohammad SAW in 7th century, it was a time of ignorance so there was a high possibility of getting rape if woman travel alone so guardian male was necessary. Secondly a woman does not only get share of inheritance from father but also from husband and it is the responsibility of husband to provide house. Two women witness is equal to one male witness because a woman can be easily threatened or blackmailed as compared to men so might give wrong testimony out of fear or confusion. I can over turn her all silly argument but it requires a lot of writing. IF SHE WILL BE ENCOUNTERED BY A SCHOLAR, SHE WILL BE BASHED BRUTALLY
