Semasa Kak Yan membesar di kampung dulu, rumah kami memang penuh dengan ramai orang. Selain mak bapak dan adik beradik, ramai sepupu sepapat yang tinggal sekali. Bila dah keluarga besar ni, selalunya dapurlah menjadi tempat kami berkumpul, berbual dan memasak bersama-sama.
Banyak resipi-resipi yang Kak Yan belajar masa ni daripada kakak dan sepupu-sepupu Kak Yan. Ayam Masak Jintan ni adalah salah satunya yang Kak Yan belajar dari sepupu Kak Yan iaitu arwah Kak Nin. Jom cuba sebab masakan ni mudah dan sedap.

Ayam Masak Jintan
Bahan-bahan
1 ekor ayam
250g santan
2 sudu besar cili kering kisar
3 sudu besar sos cili
Bahan Tumis
6 -8 biji bawang merah kecil
5 ulas bawang putih
1 inci halia
Garam dan gula secukup rasa
5 sudu besar minyak
Bahan Kisar
2 -3 biji bawang merah besar
5 ulas bawang putih
1 inci halia
2 batang serai
2 biji tomato
2 sudu besar jintan manis
1 sudu besar jintan putih
When I was growing up in the village, our house was always filled with many people. Besides our parents and siblings, there were many cousins who lived with us. With such a large extended family, the kitchen often became the place where we gathered, chatted, and cooked together.
I learned many recipes during this time from her older sisters and cousins. Ayam Masak Jintan is one of them, which I learned from my late cousin, Kak Nin. Let’s try it because this dish is easy to make and delicious.
Ingredients:
1 whole chicken
250g coconut milk
2 tablespoons ground dried chilies
3 tablespoons chili sauce
For Sautéing:
6-8 small shallots
5 cloves garlic
1-inch piece of ginger
Salt and sugar to taste
5 tablespoons cooking oil
For Blending:
2-3 large shallots
5 cloves garlic
1-inch piece of ginger
2 stalks of lemongrass
2 tomatoes
2 tablespoons ground cumin (jintan manis)
1 tablespoon ground coriander (jintan putih)
