A lot of people miss Aya Neo's. Geek, which has mostly the same specs as the Aya Neo 2. Which is only $200 more than the high end deck ($100 if you got the early bird pricing). For $200 more, you get a better screen, better controls, more ports, more power, better storage, and a cleaner design (but that is subjective). In which case, the price is definitely worth it. Essentially, a steam deck is a Toyota, Geek is a Porsche, Aya Neo 2 is a Lambo. Sure the Toyota will get you to where you need... but the Lambo is just so damn nice.

I originally ordered a white one but changed to black as I could get it sooner and I don’t regret it….and you’re not alone in wanting to game on your handheld. I’ve got a 3080 desktop and a 3080 laptop but I still like to chill on the couch with my handheld. 🤣

I think theres a huge demographic of gamers who are like us where we have the funds to spend on games and even a nice setup with a gaming pc, console + huge tv etc but being at work all day, staring at monitors, sometimes you just want to sit on the couch and give your eyes a break with a smaller screen. I ended up going with the GPD Win 4 (although not sure when it will be delivered) but for now, I use my Steam Deck and believe it or not my Logitech G Cloud for ps5 local remote play and its flawless. Went with Win4 because its a bit easier to open and swap components without destroying the machine and I'm a fan of the design. Thanks for sharing!

Hell yeah man. Handheld gaming is the shit. I have a full custom loop 7950x 4090 PC (waiting for the 7950x3d to drop later this month), my desk setup is the stuff of dreams, sitting on a Herman Miller embody soon to be with my atlas headrest, running a 34" QD OLED ultra wide, and it's all also hooked up to my 65" Sony OLED in my living room with a 40' HDMI and long USB repeater. I can play at my desk, on my couch..any game, max settings, 4K.. the whole 9 yards. People would dream to have the setup I have built for myself. I also have a 12900 3070Ti 16" laptop... And yet... I still end up using my steam deck more often than any of it by a long shot. It's not even close. My wife uses the desktop and laptop more than I do for work etc. I am 33 now though, and handheld/on the go gaming is something I've been interested in for a long time and I literally could not have even dreamed of all the stuff we have today. I remember doing all kinds of stuff with my original PSP trying to get flash games working and trying to play OS runescape. I had the razer edge tablet with the dock and all that when that first came out. Rooting countless android devices. Getting android running on my hacked switch to be able to use gamestream to then screen mirror to my trucks head unit lmao. Just random shit just to see if I could make it work... With all that being said I've been looking to grab one of the other handheld options on the market just get a bit more power and options than the SD. It'll also be nice to have 2 handhelds so my wife and I can play random stuff together on the couch with something else playing in the background on the TV. I'm torn between the AN2, the new win 4, or waiting to see what's up with that monster new AN next 2 or some other 7040u based option that is sure to be on the market soon.

I’m 44, just bought one because exactly what you said, I love playing my games. I travel overseas for at least a week at a time for work and do that 5 times a year and get a lot of plane times 20hrs+ and a lot of hotel time without family around so that’s great. Have a Switch that I don’t use much as I’m not much of a switch guy, I don’t like playing on iPad or phone either. I’m excited. I’ve bought a eGPU that is already plugged into my home theatre that is connected to my TV and 120in projector. It will be a great addition to my consoles there too and I can just take it and continue playing on the go.

I have an Odin Pro. It's a good device but since it's Android it has a lot of limits on what it can do. It only made me want a Windows handheld more so I started looking at all the 6800u devices. The Ayaneo 2 was on my list but it was removed quickly for being the most expensive of them all. Easily 100-200$ more for the comparable ram and storage options as other devices. Since I like the Odin I was also considering the Loki Max. It's one of the cheapest 6800u device but we have no idea when it will ship. In the end I went with the GPD Win 4. Love the PSP design. The built in keyboard will be quite useful for me as well and it has a track pad similar to what the Steamdeck has. 899$ for the 16gb of ram and 1tb of space. Ayaneo's equivalent is 1099$. The performance of those devices is incredible. We basically have great gaming PC from 5 years ago shrunk down to a Nintendo Switch size. It's crazy.

Just ordered the 32 GB 2TB Ayaneo Geek. Definitely wasn't cheap but I think I will thoroughly enjoy it. Also have the Steam Deck. I know what you mean when you say you enjoy playing on a handheld more than your desktop. I have a 3090 PC and a PS5 and by far my Steam is used more than any of them even when I am home.

All these units equipped with Ryzen 6800U handheld is fantastic. I have my GPD Win Max2. I really enjoy playing Dead Space Remake on it. Silky smooth even on low setting but on such a small screen, the game looks superb.

@@TalonsRebellion I love it very much. I didn't touch my Xbox-X and gaming desktop since I got my Win Max2. I am having so much fun gaming and working with Win Max2. The keyboard is very functional and the unit is very speedy as well. I tried Callisto protocol, dead space remake, Witcher 3 next gen. upgrade and many more 3A titles out there and it runs them all nicely and smoothly. With the small screen and high ppi. these game looks fantastically.

I ordered one about a month ago. Still waiting but I'm super excited. Handhelds just workout more for my life right now but I'd like to switch between this and my PC when I have the time. I also really like that they have egpu support which is great since I have the razer core x and a gtx 1080 so depending on where I am in my house, I'll go with that setup too. happy you hear you really like yours! One thing that I do plan on doing is keeping the box and packaging that they send because I may sell this later on and jump on the aya neo 3 whenever it comes out assuming the upgrade is worth it.

Did you specifically buy this instead of the Steam Deck (because of its newer CPU and GPU and display) or was it more of an impulse buy? I would only buy this because Steam Deck doesn’t ship here to Switzerland and these guys do. Or else I would’ve chosen the Steam Deck because of its better software.

I also have a steamdeck ,The steam deck definitely has a advantage in software potential but speaking on pure Proformance the ayaneo out does the steam deck by a good amount My steam deck barley gets by with my favorite games but my ayaneo plays everything in my library very well not perfect but definitely plays them better then the steam deck

Split between buying this one or an Onexplayer 2 I wish I could just get the Deck but with each new release its technical capabilities just keep getting weaker and weaker Even if Aya 2 and OXP2's hardware upgrades are only slightly noticeable, their native support for eGPU make up for it Would you recommend this device? The onexplayer 2 and the ayaneo both have the same chip set the only thing is the one x 2 has a bigger screen and detachable controller and they both run windows great ! If the onexolayer 2 has better grips it's a big sell the ayaneo 2 feels good but lacks actual grips if you ask me wait for more reviews on KZbin for the build quality on the onexplayers 2 cuz in older reviews ppl say the grips have more wobble then they should either option is 100% worth it go for what has the better details that matter most to you

Bro, I'm literally the same age as you and exactly the same situation where I used to love handhelds ( i had everything from the gameboy color, till the vita and 3ds) Also, I have a game setup, which i love, but it's kinda difficult to play after being 9 hours behind a pc working. I find myself just approaching the steam deck to play indie games and less intensive games on the couch. Ordered the aya 2 cause the screen looks absolutely gorgeous, but unfortunately, it still hasn't been shipped yet. Do you also have the SD? Also, do you play the intensive games also on the aya? Or do you stream from the rig to the aya whenever you can't maintain a 60 fps? Thx for the video, btw, just like hearing stories from similar people.

I am also very satisfied with this console. All games have now been transferred from steam including save ganes. However, rdr2 does not start correctly and my save game cannot be loaded either?

Some games on steam do not support cloud save sadly you might need to manually transfer the save from your pc to your hand held I'm not sure if that's possible but that would be the only way

I have seen star citizen run on a steamdeck with respectable performance for a hand-held but star citizen is known to be a ram hog and with 32gb of ram and a better cpu than steamdeck this should be playable. i want to get one just since its compatible with more games and more powerful out of the box than a steamdeck, got a steamdeck last week and tbh am not impressed with the performance it outputs and all the extra steps to get things to work on steam OS instead of just using windows, ive dual booted with windows. but i honestly am thinking of wiping steam os its so annoying with compatibility with games, no fortnite, destiny 2 and many others on steam os. the only thing that has me keeping the deck is steams customer support theyve always been great for me returning games way past time etc, would be nervous spending ~$1000 for one of these with aya neo kinda unkown customer support, im rooting fro them though cuz fuck steam OS lmao
