I could not imagine a better soundtrack for Deathly Hallows

I feel like we don't give enough credit to the composers.

And even less is given to the orchestrators that actually make mediocrity sound good.

God I love Alexandre's work. He writes such mesmerisingly beautiful pieces. I have so many soundtracks that he's composed for movies I haven't even seen simply because the music is so beautiful

I cry every time I listen to Obliviate and have chills throughout DH pt.2 How perfect the music for the last two movies is, is just unbelievable.

I wouldn't have the composer changes any other way. Williams brought an overwhelming complexity to set the atmosphere initially. Hooper took us through the happiness and sadness of characters discovering themselves. Desplat brought it home with tracks imbued with anxiety and expectation, indicative of tribulations to come. Doyle was a bit of a one-off with Goblet of Fire but he did well to create a decent atmosphere for the contest.

i think they need a range of composers because each harry potter film has a flavor,a different structure so it would most definitely be bad to keep john Williams doing all of them because each composer has a specialty and i thin they have chosen the composers very well to complete the immensity the beauty of each flim

I say Alexandre Desplat because he brought a new twist to the symphony unlike the other movies, he used a lot of wind instruments in the 1st part.

My life aspiration is to be in a symphony for a movie... just need to learn to play an instrument.

@sterRobbie Not always. If John Williams had returned for the 2-part finale, he would've altered his approach to fit David Yates' needs. People think Williams isn't flexible, but.. he is. That said, Desplat's score for Part 1 was stunningly good.

@ankitnavgwal01 i disagree, in what way, they composed on two very different films
@kuribayashi8413 жыл бұрын
@sterRobbie You may be right, but still I wonder what Score would we have got if Williams had scored all movies. Hes definately capable of writing smaller, intimate Scores and he is more than capable of writing Dark, Brutal Music. I think a "Deathly Hallows" from him would sound like "War of the Worlds", "A.I" or "The Fury".

Sorry, but this just doesn't compare to John Williams. I think there's a reason I really liked the first few movies, then disliked the rest...the composer changed. Don't get me wrong; this isn't bad...it's just average. There's emotion portrayed, but in my opinion, the melody is lacking. The music is just kind-of "there".
@DListComposer6 жыл бұрын
Very true. Melodic development was Williams true gift. It's virtually nonexistent these days thanks to the minimalism of Zimmer's influence.
