Absolutely exquisite when found fresh enough out here in California (not often), although certainly pricey. Thankfully some California breweries have started to crank out some top shelf classic German lagers in recent years.

They’ve got awesome bottle caps. They produce some great beers. I prefer a good Helles over a plain Pilsner. Because I personally don’t like beers with an intense bitterness, like IPA’s, I love the fruitiness in it, but the bitterness lets it down for me.

Love Ayinger - their Kellerbier is my favourite. Possibly my favourite bottled beer on the market at the moment.

Looks lovely have you thought about reviewing O’ Hara’s stout and red along with Reel Deel Mayo red, Dungarvan copper coast, White deer stout and red and Brehon brewhouse killany red. The sullivan’s red is definitely a mild as are the rest of the reds.

I just looked this up in hope - bingo! i've just been told today of a beer shop a few miles away I didn't know about which sells Spaten, which I've always wanted to try. The other two German beers it sells are Lowenbrau (wow, my favourite) and Ayinger, so I'm checking you out on it. It's the Spaten and Lowenbrau I'm after but now I want to try out the Ayinger.

Quick update -it was sold out! 😄 However, they had Augustiner, which I also wanted to try out. And, I got the Spaten I was after.

If you like this one try out Dovetail Helles and Goldfinger Lager out of Chicago, if you can get a hold of it. I've had a few helles and both are honestly as close to perfection as I can think of for this style, and a coincidence they're from the same city.

Best off licence in Cardiff. I would point out that uh... the side of the road it's on very much depends on your direction of travel though 🤣 It's opposite the all nations church for anyone who's looking for it. Beer looks super. Cheers Si 🍺
