My husband is from the Republica du Benin. He said his grandfather used to listen to this. I came home and he was blasting it. I have not stopped listening to it since. I asked him what he was saying. He said he does not know. This is the DEEP Yoruba. The first Yoruba. I died laughing. I love it.

I am laughing too, This is a deep Yoruba as you mentioned, you and your husband did not understand what he’s saying yet you listing and enjoyed listening to the music, that was absolutely nice. Actually, what is saying was simply praising his fans that spends money on him; particularly those that he met during his live shows. Love from Chicago. Stay blessed

Adetunji Adetunde wow, that was an everlasting memory to have been given a ride by one of the greatest. Ayinla Omowura’s death was a great lost to the Nigerians. Real sense of music is not the meaning of words but how the experience makes you feel inside. Your heart will always understand. Let yourself get lost in the music. We don’t see the creator but we know the powers of of our existence.

A legend in his own time. His style of apala music is unique both in lyrics and rhythm. Whenever he was performing, both the educated and molue conductors throw caution to the wind when dancing. May Allah(SWT)forgive his shortcomings and grant him Aljanah.
