yea, I agree on not letting out on the early stage of relationship. it can really be disadvantageous. there should be a level of trust before you start revealing

Saying "I do" is more than just a commitment to share your life with someone, it's involves sharing your finances too. couples should talk a lot about their finances. starting from the courtship days. it will help them to know their perspectives towards money and make adjustments accordingly! As soon as couples are about to get married - they should come clean about their salaries, debts, loans, and anything else that might affect their financial future as a couple. because what ever money issue that will come up later will affect the other person as well! let me stop here maybe when we move on to talk about family budgets we will dig deeper! thank you so much for the video. chukwu GBA unu ume(God strengthen you guys) as usual I wear my widest smile. that part ayo released his hands was so so so funny! ope you can talk sha! My fiance and i have never had money issues. I exactlly knows how much i gain and vice versa. This for my a part of the realationship. We are going to be a team, one after marriage. How can we hide such an information?! I know it from my childhood in cameroon that the most of the men hide how much they gain to their wives. For me this a no go. Thank you guys for sharing :)

I think another way to make the money thing easier is to set goals together! Eg asking each other what we want to do in life, how much it's going to cost and all,what kind of schools we want for our children, houses and cars etc so we both know where we stand and no one makes unnecessary requests

hi ope and ayo. fantastic video as always. it was quite insightful. by the way you guys always dress so well, luv your top ope. so d reason y some people hide their paychecks is because they know the kind of husband they have. There are some men that if they know how much their wife earns, they will decide to give very little to household expenses which they both benefit from. it will surprise you that some men r generous to other people but when it comes to their wife, they will say this women all she does is buy buy buy. I believe in openness and transparency but all that is dependent on the kind of dynamics inherent in the marriage. One of the main advantages of sharing your paycheck details with your partner is that it guides in knowing what each party can contribute and it makes budgeting fair. So the person that is earning lesser can contribute to the lower expenses and the person that earns more can contribute to the significant expenses

Guys can you imagine I was saying this guy for 3 weeks and he researched how much I earned. I'm a lawyer in the city of London so I earn a good salary. After that he kept making side comments about me thinking I was better. I don't think I will ever get with a guy who I earn more than #fragileego

Great video Def a touchy topic that needs to be discussed more. I think money is an essential part of unity - I think diversity is in marriage is ok - but never division. Hiding money, lying about money, not supporting your spouse, the way I see it is literally a huge gaping hole in marital unity. When we marry, before God we become ONE flesh. So a man can never say, "this is MY money" That is not grammatically correct - in marriage, it's OUR money. If I make 1,000,000/month and my wife makes $100/month She is millionaire WE are millionaires.

As a single lady that has an averagely good paying job, I personally don't necessarily look out for a guy that can or will take care of me' in the financial regard, in the sense of probably having to pay for literally everything money can buy that I need all through the relationship, if I get that, oh so beautiful. However, my preference is mostly a guy that can take care of himself first financially, because to an extent, I know I can take care of myself. If you wanna spend on me though? That's fantabulous, I won't refuse your kind gestures 🤓🤓 He should just be able to take care of himself financially, I don't think that's asking for too much... Even if he isn't financially stable initially, I need to see he's actively trying to not remain in that state, else it's bye Felipe!

Most men believe the only way they can be regarded and respected is when they take care of the financial demands of their family. Such men are hardly conscious of their wive's pay. However, not all men are like this. I will advice women (human wisdom) who are married to lazy men not to reveal their paycheck because rather than looking for how to support their family they expect their wives to carry all the financial burden. To be candid this advice is not scriptural but based on what I have heard and seen in other marriages. What works for a persons marriage might not work for another. As a christian my advice to women who are carry the financial burden is to pray for their husbands. I am not married and I don't think I am in the right position to advice any married couple. I also strongly believe in the Word of God which states that both couples must be naked/open (Adam & Eve), i.e reveal your paycheck. This will prevent the enemy from destroying the marriage. God bless you.

Oluwatomi Thomas i totally agree with you. it depends on the rapport or the dynamics of the couple. Some men would misabuse it. once they mnow the exact amount, they may not play their role but expect their wives to sort out the expenses even if it is something that both parties benefit from.
