Ayrton Senna - Designed To Race

Ayrton Senna da Silva (born March 21, 1960 - Imola, May 1, 1994) was a Brazilian Formula 1 pilot, three times world champion in 1988, 1990 and 1991. He was also runner-up in the controversial 1989 and 1993 Championship. Died in an accident at the Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari at Imola during the San Marino Grand Prix in 1994. Is recognized as one of the greatest names of Brazilian sport and one of the greatest riders in the history of auto racing.
Senna began his career by racing kart. He moved to racing competitions in 1981, and won the following two years of British Formula 3 Championship. His good performance in previous categories led to his debut in formula 1 in the Brazil Grand Prix in 1984 by team Toleman-Hart. In his first season in the category, Senna quickly had results, leading to small English team to achieve performances never reached. The following year, exchanged the Toleman-Hart by Lotus-Renault, the team won six Grands Prix over three seasons. In 1988, he joined Frenchman Alain Prost (who would be his biggest rival in his career) at McLaren-Honda and lived years victorious by the team. The two together have won 15 of the 16 Grands Prix that season, and Senna was world champion for the first time. Prost led the League in 1989, and Senna retook the title in 1990-both titles were decided by collisions between the riders in the Grand Prix of Japan. The following season, Senna won his third world title, becoming the youngest driver ever to win a third Championship in formula 1-a feat that was maintained until the end of the 2012 season, when Sebastian Vettel came to winning the third Championship for three consecutive years. From 1992, the Williams-Renault team dominated the competition. Still, Senna managed to finish the season as runner-up 1993, winning five races. Negotiated a move to Williams in 1994.
His reputation for fast rider was marked by record of pole positions that he held between 1989 until 2006. On rainy asphalt, showed great ability and skill, as demonstrated in performances GP Monaco 1984 anthology, Portugal 1985 and Europe 1993. Senna still holds the record for most WINS at the prestigious Monaco Grand Prix-six-and is the third most successful rider of all time in terms of victories
In December 2009 the British magazine Autosport published an article where he made an election for choosing the best formula 1 racing driver of all time. The magazine consulted 217 riders who passed through the category, and Ayrton Senna won such a vote.
The British State communication network, BBC, elected Brazilian Ayrton Senna as the best pilot of formula 1 history. "Probably no pilot of Formula 1 has been dedicated more to the sport and given more of himself into his rigid quest for success. He was a force of nature, an incredible combination of great talent and, in some cases, an astounding determination ", points out the text published on the BBC website.
In 2012 the Brazilian Television System the SBT, made a search over the internet to elect the biggest Of all time, and Ayrton Senna was among the top 12, and fyi, many thanks for reading till here, you just made worth it ignore this stupid flu.

In 1994 after his fatal accident, Senna hurtled towards the pearly gates at nearly 200mph, before braking hard at the last second, and then as he entered the gates Senna took a hairpin corner to his left. He stopped the car and, removed his famous crash helmet, and the Angels of heaven applauded. God awarded him his trophy.

it has come to my attention that alot of people are comparing Serbastian Vettel to Senna. Saying that Vettel is in the same league as Senna. Well let me make it clear to anyone who thinks this, Vettel will never be one of the all time greats, no matter how many races he wins, he relys to heavily on the car. the red bull cars that he has been driving are far ahead of the compition, so Vettel realy has no competion. Senna on the other hand was racing against true legends of Formula 1. Alain Prost, Nelson Pequet, Nigel Mansell, Gerhard Berger and many more, and he was driving in cars that were very difficult to drive, The Mclaren MP4/4 that Senna drove in 1988, had very little down force, a manual gear box, no driving aids and 1200 Horse power. and then you look at Senna himself, Senna could dance in rain that if Vettel tried to drive in, he would spin out, just look at Donington 1993, Senna in the rain and an inferiour Mclaren Ford MP4/8 got from fifth to first in just one lap, in a car that was no match the for the Williams FW15 that Prost and Hill were piloting, If Vettel found himself in a similar situation in an inferiour car, he would struggle to get in the points let alone win the race by almost a whole lap.

Ayrton left us far too soon. I believe he would have been more comfortable racing for ferrari than for Williams. I once had a dream that I saved his life and I've been wishing that dream had truly happened ever since it popped into my head, but the words that I can still hear Ayrton saying very clearly to me in this dream are "thank you for saving my life" I wish I had saved your life my friend.
