Ayee!!! Sis you danced to a Nigerian song, as a Nigerian, I was excited. African black soap is a blessing, it's in excess here in Nigeria as we have been making it for hundreds of years, in fact, before all of these soaps being soap, this was our bath soap, shampoo etc. It's getting a little bit expensive here in Nigeria because the world loves it. We don't even have to add anything to use it here.

It’s like you read my mind with this video as I’ve wondered if you had ever used it in your regimen. I made some shampoo with ABS but I added some shikakai, amla and bhrami powders, coconut and castor oil (just a little) and some essential oils after I started following your Ayurvedic routines and it’s amazing. No need for store-bought shampoo anymore My hair is very soft and shiny. Thank you!

I've been making a version of this for the last two months and it has been awesome!!!! I add in some shikaikai, amla, Brahmi, bhringraj, neem, aloe Vera, and zizyphus spina Christi powders and add some extra water to compensate. I also use argan, jojoba, and black castor oil in mine. My hair always comes out soft and strong. In my next batch I want to add some Aritha powder as well. Thank you for sharing this recipe!

Khadijah Mahon I just add the straight powder to the soap/water mix and then dilute till it’s a reasonable thickness. I don’t mind if it’s a bit gritty cause I can get a mini scalp scrub in.

i've used black soap all my life on my body, but only started using it on my scalp due to my alopecia. It really healed my scalp as even other non sulphate shampoos were irritating my scalp. i will definitely be adding you diy growth oil to my black soap for that extra boost. Also i love how you still have all the recipes on your channel even though you have started selling the products.

Now that I have been making your hair growth oil for the past couple months, I'll add that to my mix and the glycerin as well. Love your channel and videos, Ms. CP--keep 'em coming :-)

I have been using your ayurvedic mixture for the past five weeks while I had box braids. I took down the braids and used this black soap shampoo. WONDERFUL! I also used the "sludge" from my oil mixed with conditioner as a mask. My hair was so soft and manageable with minimal shedding. I took the black soap shampoo and made a body scrub with the addition of brown sugar, you must try. Thanks a bunch.

Kenisha White I've been using this to wash my hair for the last 4 weeks and my Seborrheic Dermatitis has cleared up. I usually add peppermint, rosemary, and tea tree essential oils to my black soap shampoo and that seems to be a good idea so far! I've also taken to adding a bit of honey as the black soap on its own can leave your hair feeling stripped when you wash it out. The oils Curly Proverbz uses will help combat that though. Great recipe!

I am wondering the same thing. Once the soap is melted in water additional preservative is required. She also stated that Vitamin E would preserve it.... vitamin e is not a preservative. I've made shampoo with black soap and I use a preservative suitable to the pH level.

Hey Love working on one for Dec. How is your diet is their any chance that you are iron deficient. I would say start with a quality multivitamin and mineral supplement. Give it time to work. I would say look into using a tea to spray through out hair but especially at the roots. Bes sure to balance with moisture. Re meet up - There will only be 30 tickets so please hit the notification button so you know when I announce it. Cause when they are gone they are gone.

Curly Proverbz awww thank you So O much. I have been dealing with so much stress like trauma stress. I am doing better but i was wondering maybe that could be a main problem. And my diet is erm yeah not consistent atm. And yh I am actually quite low on iron. . So those could be a factor I am guessing. I will look into buying multivitamins in hollands then and getting the tea spray from your site. Thank you so much for the response x

I feel u when you say after u had your baby, you didn't have much time for your hair. With me its the kids and my husband, the ayurvedic oil mix my husband hates the smell, says I smell like a native doctor lol... Also, I'm a revert Muslim, to work I wear a scarf and weekends are my wash days depending on my mood but I always have to be doing things when my husband is not around as he complains about time consuming. Is there any simpler ayurvedic mix I can do with less smells lol, I have not been seeing growth as yet but I am trying to use the oil religiously every day. Thanks for all your fantastic videos and tips. I simply love them... I'm a lazy natural I must confess lol. Thank you, thank you, thank you

If you add a preservative like Optiphen, it should last about 9 months to a year. I know some people don't want to use a preservative but this is a natural broad spectrum preservative. Anything you add water to or use around water needs one. Otherwise, mold can form in about a week and sometimes you can't see the mold.

Have you heard of anyone damaging their hair using the henna mask and henna gloss? Since I started doing this I noticed I am finding a lot of hair that has broken off... and I mean really broken off.. very short pieces. That is very unusual for my hair. I religiously deep condition each time after I do a protein treatment so I am not sure why this happened to me. I can only figure it has to be the henna mask and gloss and that it is too strong for my hair. And I have only done the henna mask 2 or 3 times and each time without henna... only the cassia, aloe vera powder and fenugreek powder (because I didn't want my hair to change colors).. and maybe the henna gloss for about 2 or 3 months each weekend . Doing this is considered a protein treatment correct? As of now I have stopped the henna mask and henna gloss and am only deep conditioning until my hair repairs itself. Any advice is helpful. Thanks

@CurlyProverbz 6 жыл бұрын
3carra it could be that you are using too frequently. I have not heard of this before I think give it a break for a while. I would also suggest if you wish to start up again use one ingredient at a time in a strand test and see how your hair responds

3carra do you balance it out with the equal amounts or more of moisture? Maybe, your products for moisture aren't providing you with enough.
@BelleBarOrganic
@BelleBarOrganic 6 жыл бұрын
Hi 3carra. We haven't heard of this result as well. Were you using a full strength henna mask and then the henna gloss every weekend? I would take @CURLYPROVERBZ advice and not use it as much. These products can be extremely strengthing so you have to make sure you are really balancing it with a lot of moisture. If I may ask, what are you mixing the gloss with? If it is just a conditioner it may not be enough moisture for you and you may need to use it with an avocado or banana. Also, where on the head has the hair broken off? That can be very telling as well because there could be other contributing factors.

Love the video, I have been using this soap for a little over a year now (black soap and water) on my hair and skin and I absolutely love the results. My hair is clean and moisturized and my skin is amazing. Using this soap with a good loofah to exfoliate my stretch mark has tremendously minimized. The results are amazing. I also made a simple shea butter lotion to add to my daily skin regimen. The unedited video was a nice touch!!
