Good evening and Namaskaaram. Unwilling to end her divine poetry, a sincere epistle of longing addressed to her beloved- the one and only Narayana, Andal prefers to address Him as Govinda… her intense plea mixes in cosmic vibrations… Today coming to the penultimate Pasuram, you have taken to telling us the content as precisely coined statements… led so far by matchless story telling, with emotive excellence creating scenes of joy , sorrow, helplessness and wonder with so much grace… I must tell you, how I wish Andal had written a longer poem with double the number of Pasurams !!!!… Well maybe that’s why today you put in place two nice tales with Saranagati as the mood and flavor… The deer facing stark reality with the tiger, raging forest fire and tiger, a hunter as well- choosing to deliver… The entirety of creation playing the magic rhythm and everything ends peacefully for the deer … so much to ponder and peruse for the inner message.. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻The story of Ananda Alwar - the Saranagati in the tale of his life is so very grand …. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻Andal so soaked in her devotion craves to respond to the fountain of bliss she has gathered in this trip of hers into the dense forests with the simple cowherdesses , reciprocates all too lovingly to ever remain doing whatever it takes to make her dear Govinda happy… Andal here expresses in adorable simplicity this Bhakti, unalloyed and pure , virgin and supreme doesn’t need any frill or fringe, just do whatever He wants… for not only the moment but through all of time …. She loads Him with the responsibility of remembering to remind her of the same… never to be enchanted and enamored by anything else… Today you have taken us to the summit of the experience of Bhakti, a dream, destination, destiny which waits for each of us… we need to take that road… that trip.. that confident step… Wonderful I exclaim, joyful at being able to understand this great poem from someone who understands the language, sound wisdom to guide our thoughts, sincere dedication to reach out to us with the right points , and making it alive for us, preventing boredom… Now I don’t know how to thank both of you for all of this… So as I made the many garlands this evening seated in the pooja room, I played the Pasuram part of each of the videos … that made me feel happy… Well I think one more Pasuram is remaining, will keep that for tomorrow… Hoping to make atleast a garland a day for that Lokamatha who deigned to write the song, let us sing,and allow that melody to remain as the tune of our lives . I am sure each of us have never listened to a more haunting melody… a more fervent appeal from the soul… Deeply felt thanks to both of you… Allow me to place these tulasi dalams at the lotus feet of that unforgettable Govindan and Andal our Lokamatha., 🙏
